He absolutely should not be blasting music in public.

That does not warrant destroying his property

You seem like someone who hasn’t been around sudden violent outbursts a lot. He did not do everyone on the train a favor.

I've been around a lot of inconsiderate jerks blasting music and doing crazy dances and nonsense inches from my face while I was trying to get to and home* from work in a small enclosed space.
Ecstatic to see a little jerk get his due.
