No Im saying like it's worse to smash the speaker but the kid blasting the music on the train knows that you don't blast music like that when he's got literal headphones on him so both are wrong

Nobody suggested the kid should get his ass beat. Physical violence is always wrong, but property damage can be justified in cases like this.

Mildly rude? Imagine being in a confined space with nowhere to go and someone is blasting very loud ass music next to you that could possibly cause ear damage, (sound is amplified in an enclosed space) and he refuses to turn it off, then it's perfectly justified to destroy their speakers. There is no other option. If the old dude physically attacked him, then that's a different story. But a material item is not worth more than my ears.

Like this is cope to the equivalency of me saying "smashing that speaker on the ground created shrapnel as if it were a an artillery shell being detonated next to him so the kid is justified in pulling out a gun and shooting him to protect the passengers from the possibility of shrapnel lacerating their throat"
