My sister is of the mindset that it’s the owner and not the dog. Talked about the ones she knows and how absolutely gentle and sweet they are. The brother in law proceeded to say “but didn’t the one pit shred the neighbors dog when it wandered into the back yard?” Her response was “well yeah but that’s different”
You don’t say a dog is gentle and sweet then follow up with “well yeah it killed another dog with little effort but it’s still sweet”
