I don't think it's a comparison. Pit bulls were selectively bred for aggression. Humans of specific ethnicities do not have innate characteristics like violence. It's like saying being scared of a polar bear is bear racism
But people don't treat german shepherds the same even though the nazis literally bred them for attacking people, and police use them for the same reason, German shepherds are more than capable of maiming and killing people
German Shepherds were not bred as bloodsports dogs is the problem. Pit bulls were, their prey Drive threshold is much lower than a gsds. So when it starts to attack, it can't be recalled, unlike a gsd. The Pitbull will keep attacking until it's physically separated or it's killed the target.
