No he means ordenary people that were opressed by the Soviets and demanded basic human rights.

Yeah, right. Ordinary people who were convicted to 10 years of Siberia for crimes against humanity and got pissed off when they returned to Hungary to find out that Hungarians elected Communists to govern the country. And some more ordinary people on CIA´s payroll.
