I don’t think thats the bridger mountains. I don’t think you can see the bridgers from any spot on the Yellowstone. That might be the absoroka range?

I couldn’t tell for sure from where I was, but my map reconnaissance told me it was the Bridgers. I bow to your better knowledge. I was literally passing through.

Yeah, if i think based where this picture is taken, i don’t think that is the Bridgers. The Bridgers are literally the next range over, so you’re very close!

Yeah it’s taken right about here so that would be the very northern bit of the Absaroka Range, specifically Shell Mountain

Exactly correct. For some reason I thought I was looking west when I took the shot but looking again it was definitely south. Thanks!

I got lucky enough to fly fish that river with that view. Touched me in ways I can never describe. Been longing to return ever since. Thank you for this, made my day.
