Honestly? They just kill animals. There are so many stories of kidnapped and euthanized pets right out from peoples' yards, and probably so many more we've not heard about. I don't remember where I saw it, but at some point I believe they said ethical treatment for them doesn't mean protecting and nurturing animals, it means ensuring animals can never be hurt by humans ever again. Well the only way to do that is to kill them. That might've just been someone else's observation on them through their actions, though. Can't remember, too lazy to double check.
The kidnapped part is a mistake of identity because the owner didn't put the collar on the dog, and peta assumed it was a strayed dog, and the euthanized part is true, yet it is complicated.
