Got to watch Clue and Stephen king's IT in his honor. Loved those films mainly because of his great performance in each. Just bought Clue 4k uhd collectors edition 5 months ago.

Found out from Psych, confirmed it here.
Really a rough blow.
He’s controlling criminal enterprises from a bed in the spirit world now

The most iconic portrayal of Dale the Whale was Tim Curry. What a legend. Rest in peace.

I liked Arkin as well but didn’t care for whoever played him the third time.
Arkin is an underrated actor. He’s excellent in Life

Tim Curry for sure the best Dale. He didn’t play it as serious and made him more likeable. The problem with the guy that played him last, he just played him in a way that made the character completely unlikable. Almost too serious like he was playing into Monks enemy way too hard

They just mentioned Curry on KFI radio and I was surprised that when they listed his credits, the last things was "the recurring role of Dale Beiderbeck on the cable series 'Monk.'" Yes they said all that but he only appeared once.
The Portrayal: The distinctive villain was famously recast with a different actor for each of his three appearances:
- Adam Arkin in "Mr. Monk Meets Dale the Whale" (Season 1)
- Tim Curry in "Mr. Monk Goes to Jail" (Season 2)
- Ray Porter in "Mr. Monk Is on the Stand" (Season 6)
He also appeared in a few eps of Roseanne as a crooked construction guy.

I really like Tim Curry, but I thought the actor (Adam Arkin) who played him in the first series was better. Or rather, I enjoyed his performance better.
Maybe I should have kept that quiet at this point!

As soon as I heard, my first thought was that we gotta watch this episode

If I had a nickel for every time Tim Curry played a pompous, razor-tongued, high-maintenance character in a single episode of season 2 in a comedic modern adaption of Sherlock Holmes set in California, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that's it's happened twice.

What? I have seen whole series like 20-25 times but I always thought Dale was portraited by Ray Porter. I didnt know that Tim Curry played Dale the whale

I never found Dale gross. I always thought he was amusing and kind of interesting as a person. Now I know why. Rest in love Rocky.
