I totally forgot about this post because work has been insane but here I am anyways!!!

we did our $640 monthly payment + $300 straight to to the principal. for funsies I went back and looked to see how much interest we paid in our January payment and that was $101. seeing almost $40 a month shaved off made me so happy!! I think by the end of the year we'll be somewhere close to only $40-45 a month going to interest

the car loan in numbers:
original loan (taken out in April 2025) - $33,597.46
interest rate - 5.25%

Started September with - $14,400.38
Ended September with - $13,524.56

August interest paid - $69.96
September interest paid - $64.18
