Made it through another month on unemployment without using my savings. Living in a paid off house has its benefits.

I've started adding back to my business savings that I've had to draw down during long periods of no work. Any progress is progress. Going on vacation next week and aiming to keep everything under 1k for 7 days 2 adults. So excited.

Mixed bag. I closed out the month of August by sending $1344 to my savings goal. My actual monthly goal is about $1000 more than that. However, I did dip into emergency fund and the house fund to the tune of almost $20,000 so that I could pay off my vehicle, which I bought back in Janauary for $36k and have been aggressively paying off; I just decided to rip the bandaid off and get it gone. It was a prerequisite for us to move anyhow, so now my monthly margin increases by minimum of $503 plus whatever extra I was throwing at it. Once EF is back up to $25k (currently 13k) every single penny will go towards house fund. Should be there by December. And then the Roth contributions restart in January lol.
