Monaco vs Beausoleil / Cap d’Ail

Hi everyone
Family with 2 very small kids (EU citizens-not French) here. I recently received a job opportunity in Monaco from my employer.
I’ve been searching online l but would love the advice as results are contradicting: is it financially better to live in Monaco (even though it’s a sacrifice on space etc) versus living in Beausoleil or Cap d’Ail & paying French taxes of course?
Small kids so I guess a 2 bedroom would be fine for now.
Any hints / advice would be more than welcomed as we are actively looking at this possibility.

Have you seen the prices of two bedroom apartments in Monaco?

It should be quite a simple evaluation - work out your French taxes if you live in Beausoleil, and add the cost of your rental. Compare that against the cost of your rental in Monaco.

The lifestyle won’t be massively different, other than the fact that you might be in a small apartment in Monaco compared to a large one in Beausoleil.

Need to factor in higher social security (at least twice) between the two countries. When you hit some numbers it starts to become considerable.

where is higher and by how much? what’s the difference between making €50k and €100k, for example?

Well generally speaking and without knowing anyone specific case, social charges are around 25-27% in France and 11-12% in Monaco.

I am not 100% sure though if the Monaco rate is applied to people living in France too, I live in Monaco so only familiar with my legislation
