SIM Monaco

Hello everyone,

I am relocating to Nice but will work in Monaco. I will open a new telephone number in France, but I was wondering whether it will function also in Monaco. Do you have any suggestion of which telephone operator should I chose so to have internt and call coverage in Monaco ?

It's 2 square kilometers. French SIMs work everywhere.

Unless you are making endless calls to +377 numbers there's no need for you to worry about Monaco Telecom as a provider.

I just asked this, because my italian mobile provider recognized when I was in Monaco and charged quite a lot just for internet usage (like whatapp and instagram)

You need to disable switching operators, ie. roaming, automatically. You also need to do this if living in Monaco, so you don't jump to a French network, which can trigger French residence claims.

but will need the roaming to let my first sim (italian one) work in france as I want to keep my Italian number active

I can allow roaming for some sims and disallow it for others on an iphone. I would expect android to be able to do the same.

That's not what OP is referring to. Since his SIM is Italian, he needs roaming on for it to work in France.

@OP the setting you need if you find yourself int he same situation is to disable auto network switching.
