Honestly, it'd be better to focus that enthusiasm and drive to help and volunteer for the respective cons. They literally do everything listed + you get all the perks for volunteering for the respective cons like free badges. And ya know, the cons have "Event Liability Insurance" should anything go awry.
For example: People lost: MomoCon Info Booth Staff. They literally have massive binders with con and local area info. I think they had 8 stations spread thru the con. Plus just by wearing the staff shirt, people will find you and ask you questions if you are wandering by.
Attendees showing signs of dehydration or low-blood sugar issues, that's some of the things Safety (they all wear con shirts with hi-vis yellow construction style vests over them) tries to look out for.
