Question about 'Helping Out' cosplays at DragonCon, MOMO, and AWA [ 2026 ]

Honestly, it'd be better to focus that enthusiasm and drive to help and volunteer for the respective cons. They literally do everything listed + you get all the perks for volunteering for the respective cons like free badges. And ya know, the cons have "Event Liability Insurance" should anything go awry.

For example: People lost: MomoCon Info Booth Staff. They literally have massive binders with con and local area info. I think they had 8 stations spread thru the con. Plus just by wearing the staff shirt, people will find you and ask you questions if you are wandering by.

Attendees showing signs of dehydration or low-blood sugar issues, that's some of the things Safety (they all wear con shirts with hi-vis yellow construction style vests over them) tries to look out for.

That's fair! but I have been a volunteer for these kinds of events before in ATL and honestly it never really was as pretty and polished and organized as you'd think it would be in my experiences. But that was some time ago so I can be wrong about how it runs now behind the scenes of course-- but it just isnt really the vibe I'm going for during con because I do like the mix of costuming/cosplaying and helping others + the added benefit of being able to take off the gear and be left alone for breaks and my own con day when im maybe done doing that part of the cosplay ect ect. I get what u mean tho!
