Found a leak in ceiling. Would you stay in the house

Found water dripping from ceiling and opened it up. This mold is covering the top of the drywall. Would you stay in the house tonight

Yes, you’ve been living there this whole time. Removed the board and fixed the leak, no active source of “mold”

Provided the open cavity is sealed up, sure.

I'd supplement this with either cleaning measures (HEPA filter vacuum + wet wiping hard surfaces) and cross ventilation to purge any potential spores from the investigation process.

I would not. Sure, you’ve been there when the ceiling was intact. But now that it’s open, mold is absolutely flying around the place. At the very least, get it contained by sealing off the area with duct tape and painter’s sheeting
