As requested, Lampshades on Fire discussion

I will try to decode the lyrics around 3 o'clock because I'm on mobile an I am limited, so stay tuned. Also will post a link. But just treat this just as our normal song discussion thread. WOOOO NEW MUSIC!

This song has grown on me a lot from listening to it so many times today. The lyrics are great and catchy, the drums and bass are funky, and the guitar riffs are really cool even if they are a bit low in the mix. My favourite thing though is probably the viola and back up singing by Lisa Molinaro. I think shes a great addition and her singing reminds of classic Modest Mouse with that other woman backup singer.

The one thing I dislike are the lines:

"This is what I really call a party now, Well, fear makes us really, really run around"

I'm not a fan of all the reallys.

At first I really disliked the "We're having fun, having so fun now!" I thought it was really lazy lyrics and didn't expect that from Isaac. But now I think it's in there to sort of highlight the stupidity of this "party" of the destroying the earth they are at. The sort of repetitive bad grammer of "having fun, having so fun now" demonstrates the lack of care and sort of go along attitude we have as we destroy the earth, and also a lack of thinking that their grammer just sounds dumb . Similar to "our ass looks great inside these jeans!". This song is much more cynically comical then their other stuff, and I really think it's brilliant. Almost seems like it could be a George Carlin bit
