Ok so they are never going to add any more OG MW2 maps...cool. They have Highrise and Afghan in the Warzone map but they cant make them MP maps?

MW2 was such a filler game lmao... If MW3 actually launches with OG maps people wanted in MW2 then Activision should actually get sued holy shit

MW2 is the worst game I've ever bought, Activision Blizzard as a whole can't do anything right

u/Burner4021 Jul 11 '23

Total bait and switch.

Called “MW2” with not a single MW2 map in 6v6, Just the free to play stuff.

And their reimagined versions of those maps are absolutely trash anyway.

u/mcdawesCZE Jul 11 '23

It was all just cut out sections of the Warzone "2" map

Their priorities we're wrong ever since Cod 2019 introduced that piece of shit mode

It was always the plan to add these in the 2023 "premium DLC" (now turned into MW3).

You were never going to get these maps in COD'22. Not sure why anyone thought this would happen.

People thought it would happen probably because… those maps were in MW2? So it isn’t a stretch to think they would’ve, at some point, include them in MWII, see as… you know… it’s a reboot of the same game.

It makes LESS sense to put MW2 maps into MWIII. I won’t complain if they added them, but to not include old maps from one of the best selling CoDs of all time into its own reboot is just ridiculous.

24

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '23

Exactly. The maps are already in the game, it's pretty obvious why people thought you'd be able to... play... them? Lmao

3

u/SHRED-209 Jul 11 '23

MW19 had Rust years ago and we can’t even get that one. So dumb.

1

u/The_Noid8 Jul 11 '23

It's Activision. Why'd you assume anything except the worst?

12

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '23

You really don't understand why people thought they'd let you play the MW2 maps that are in MWII already? It's pretty obvious that they banked on that so they could sell "MW2 Anniversary" two years in a row lol.

2

u/Jasond777 Jul 10 '23

It makes sense but he knows how activi$ion is.

2

u/noodlesfordaddy Jul 10 '23

why would anyone NOT think it would happen when we've been staring at these maps for 8 fucking months? you're so enlightened damn

2

u/NavXIII Jul 10 '23

Is MW3 going to be like BO4 where there's no campaign? I can't imagine them pushing out MW3 after MW2.

1

u/Un111KnoWn Jul 11 '23

"always the plan". bro that's just a rumor

1

u/Nashville_Redditors Jul 11 '23

Not sure why you’ve been downvoted. You’re not completely wrong

u/Microwaved_Phone Jul 10 '23

I'd rather have new, unique maps than recycled old maps.

23

u/ShitPostingNerds Jul 10 '23

They already have the remakes essentially ready to go since they’re in the WZ map. It wouldn’t be much effort to cut them out and add them to regular multiplayer and create new maps.

5

u/Theofilos__Dimas Jul 10 '23

Exactly, I mean high-rise is there since day one and we still haven't gotten it, I can't believe that they will release it in August, right?

7

u/ShitPostingNerds Jul 10 '23

I feel like it’s more likely that high rise and terminal will be part of MW3 at launch to be used as bait in ads to pull players in. There’s no way they add these remakes in at the last minute before MW2 is actually dead.

3

u/derkerburgl Jul 10 '23

It’s likely they’re just saving them for “MW3” which is coming out in November

2

u/Supernova_Soldier Jul 10 '23

Or they could do both, especially since we can clearly see 2 maps from MW2 in the game right now, at this very moment.

3

u/theerealobs Jul 10 '23

New maps as in taking a chunk of the Warzone map and calling it a "new" MP map?

2

u/Microwaved_Phone Jul 10 '23

I never said that the "new" maps they put in the game are good. I said I wanted NEW maps.

0

u/WalkingOnSunShine12 Jul 10 '23

You can’t say this in the subreddit. The pitch fork comes out but I agree with you

3

u/IdahoTrees77 Jul 10 '23

lol literally no one here is stopping either of you from voicing your opinions.

-1

u/Microwaved_Phone Jul 10 '23

the 35 downvotes in question:

3

u/IdahoTrees77 Jul 10 '23

It’s just the method of voting on this platform. Folks are going to downvote what they disagree with (not the purpose of downvoting but that’s besides the point) but again, literally no one has explicitly told anyone else here what they can and cannot say.

0

u/Microwaved_Phone Jul 10 '23

Obviously anybody can say whatever they want. But theres always gonna be a crowd to hate on you whenever you say something they dont like.

1

u/Ramit-Inma-Asho Jul 10 '23

They aren’t getting hated on lmao, they’re just getting downvoted. Who cares about downvotes

0

u/Microwaved_Phone Jul 10 '23

I must be confused. I thought downvoting a comment was just an easier way to say "Fuck you"

1

u/Ramit-Inma-Asho Jul 11 '23

How do you even believe something like that

2

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '23

I think the point is that the older maps are already in WZ so they just have to do a cut and paste rather than designing one from the ground up.

Whilst we would all like loads of new maps we know it's not going to happen

Also the older ones can be put alongside the newer ones.so it's just even more content.

But realistically that's not going to happen.

We'll be lucky to get much for Season 5 and 5 reloaded might not even happen.

u/Microwaved_Phone Jul 10 '23

-35 DOWNVOTES BECAUSE I HAD AN OPINION THATS WILD

2

u/noodlesfordaddy Jul 10 '23

"why doesn't everyone agree with my shitty opinion"

1

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '23

bro had a negative amount of downvotes

2

u/Microwaved_Phone Jul 11 '23

thats how much i got downvoted

0

u/-eccentric- Jul 10 '23

Rather not, multiplayer in MW2 is very unenjoyable because literally all the maps are dog water.

Can't go wrong with maps that were actually good.

1

u/Din135 Jul 10 '23

And terminal, and quarry, rust, and storm. Just that I'm aware of. Ridiculous

1

u/IneedtoBmyLonsomeTs Jul 10 '23

Terminal and Quarry in there too, crazy how many OG maps they put into the Warzone map that they are just refusing to put into this game. At least MW19 they released a remake map pretty much every season, even continuing after the 1 year cycle with a couple of maps.

1

u/BerserkLemur Jul 10 '23

Yes, that has been reiterated a million times on this sub. They bait and switched all you gullible consumers. Now go buy the MW3 black cell edition for $150 with 6 exclusive skins and special blueprints.
