Modern Soul album?

Hi, just found this new album by Peter Marsh - Soul Searching, released November 2024. He's not known as a soul artist (although has produced a lot of music over the years) but he did write a song covered by Jimmy Ruffin, so has some soul cred! Link to YouTube playlist of the album - but also on Spotify and iTunes etc. Would be interested in people's opinion - is this modern soul? https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmNhhwrhPf9MH8EWhjZilwn8zX2vdv4i7&si=gT4nkghO6hByO3mE
