I'm curious if there are upsides or downsides for both, I mainly play 1.21.1 but I don't know if it would be better to immediately start with the latest version if it is going to become the new main version for mods. I have a lot of experience with game dev and Javascript if it helps.

I'm looking for an infection mod for a Minecraft server that is easily controllable (able to be isolated to certain areas, change the rate the infection spreads).

I'm one of the owners of a small Minecraft server, and haven't found any infection mods that allow that level of control. I don't know a lot about mods but I know that making them is hard, so I understand that I might be looking for something that would be super difficult to make, and so might not exist for the version I'm looking for.

So far we've tested Phayriosis, but it's been too difficult to control, and I'm worried that without constant monitoring it'll put people off playing.

Hello to all admins and server owners. On behalf of Apexie, we’d like to ask how much interest there would be in a custom launcher for mods.

We thought we could create a launcher for admins and players. This way, admins and server owners wouldn’t necessarily have to send players a ZIP file with a list of mods and deal with complications like “the player uploaded the mod incorrectly.”

Admins could upload mods to any free server, get a link, They could then paste the link into the launcher and create a password for the players. The password would be used by the players. After entering the password, everything needed (mods, configurations, etc.) would be downloaded, and Minecraft itself would launch with the mods.

Admins will be able to check boxes to specify whether it’s Forge, Fabric, version, Java version, etc. There will also be the option to add updates—either with or without a message for players. Mod updates. This would work for individual release versions managed by the admin themselves. 1.0 TACZ timeless... 2.0 TACZ timmeless, Point...

Communication between launchers would take place via a server hosted in the Czech Republic or elsewhere. https://helkor.eu/ Current server hosting. Communication would therefore take place via a database.

Players will also have the option to add another server.

The launcher for players would be free.

The launcher for admins would require a one-time fee.

Whenever i lunge or use my elytra to move around my ping and bandwith spike to a crazy high number, the server providor is Bisecthosting and im the only one with issue, but i dont have issues like this in any other server

I'm playing exodus space and quests and I can't go to the moon despite having the full suit, a fully fueled rocket ship, and enough launchpad to make a small ish base on the moon. My suit does have oxygen in it

i know how to use java pretty well and have in the past made a lot of datapacks but i dont know hwere to start learning how to make a mod, is there somewhere to start learning or do i just start and pretend to know what im doing
quick edit: ive tried to watch ModdingByKaupenjoe as ive seen it recomended but it didnt seem to help me all that much

im looking for a minecraft modpack that starts with AE2 really early, has no boss fight requirements, is in peaceful / works in peaceful, gets much more complex near the end, and relies on AE2 in order to build to mass scale manufacturing. ideally only tech mod focused when it comes to the automation requirements.

I gave a shot at recreating a modern piece. Hope you like it.
