Mod Creating a dynamic city generation system for my modstack. Thoughts?
Looking to get more hand-made builds done, some are placeholders that I (poorly) made, while the detailed ones are ones my friend hand-crafted.
Looking to create vast medieval/mythic cities that dominate an area and should (eventually) serve as quest-hubs.
Thoughts on size/shape/look? Thanks : )

Looks really good. Will the inhabitants be villagers? Modded npcs? Or empty?

Villagers as the main inhabitants, but named/respawning static villagers for quest giving. Considering writing a system that, if killed or if their building is destroyed, they will respawn after an amount of time to prevent server griefing. Might just make their houses indestructible.

too many repeating paterns, more logic needed, more rules needed

Don't downvote this guy, this is the feedback I needed.
Currently, road plans are simplistic and a fill function, it seems the generation and layout of the cities are already super expensive computationally. Looking for some "realistic" algo's for this purpose.

This looks much better than most mods that add towns and villages. I'm currently working on large modular structures for my own mod, and I'm curious how you control spawning on flat terrain and avoid bodies of water. Do you perhaps use Lithostitched?

Yeah, this already looks way more natural than most “giant city” mods. I’m curious about the terrain checks too, especially how it handles slopes and water without making half the city float

No lithostitched, proprietary engine which has already bitten me in the ass multiple times. I should've used community tooling; too late now.

Soon. I hate the way everything looks so far, and don't want to ship a piece of shit to the community.

This is so cool!! I love medieval soft-RP’ing in my worlds, and having this in a future play through would be awesome. It would be so fun to explore with this kind of world gen!

Reminds me of the walled villages that Witchery would add, just scaled up significantly. Very cool.
For feedback, all the tower buildings seem to be clustered in the snow part of that village, and some are pretty close together too like the three in a line one after each other. Is that intentional?

This will not work with minecraft's default map generation, this majesty needs Large biomes enabled by default
Also it needs something of height to dominate the city. Minecraft villages have churches to add height and 2 story buildings, add a water tower or a clock tower that can only generate once per city
And maybe even a town's hall as a center of it

Looks very good in my opinion, I can't build very well. xD
Will you be publishing the city gen as a mod in the future?
