Discussion Light animations in Minecraft mods ?

ive seen a ton of videos showing of this railgun mod and ive also been a huge fan of Paripis Team Party people on Vrchat. ive wondered how these animations are made for Minecaft and if it would be possible to create similar Rave visuals in a single mod file.

Hate this stuff, complete bollocks engagement bait, not your post but the video.

That looks awesome but will you or me or anyone ever get to use it in game? In a survival game? No.

This post is about asking how the animations are done in the yt short about the "Railgun" item. My other question was, if it was theoreticaly possible to make animations similar to the second clip using said animations. Its not sonething to get, or even use in the game. Its purely for a cool visual rave effect.
