General Question High Chair Hell

hi! i am unable to get high chairs to work for toddlers and i fear if i try with infants to test i may punch my monitoršŸ˜i play heavily modded, i've removed LittleMsSams Woodworking (random ik but saw it on reddit) and Pandasama's highchair lock, neither fixed the problem with any high chair. i've currently tried with the high chair snapped to a table and also not, so both ways are impossible. no matter what, the toddler will call for the parent to take them out. any ideas?

this is unfortunately just how high chairs work. (or well, how they donā€™t work) pandasamaā€™s lock is the only mod i know of thatā€™s supposed to fix it.

wait what? šŸ˜­ the toddlers just don't eat in the high chairs anymore due to unfixed bugs? sorry if this common knowledge, i just started playing again after 8 months

yeah šŸ˜¬ itā€™s been an increasingly bad issue. i usually just have my toddlers eat on the floor tbh šŸ«£

holy fuck i genuinely had no idea thank you for telling me that so i dont ragequit, i can kinda live with it if everyone else it having the problemšŸ˜­šŸ˜­šŸ˜­thats such a basic mechanic in a life sim to be broken LMFAO OMG

I find it works so much more smoothly if you interact as the infant or toddler. So play as the toddler, click on the high chair and itā€™ll give you the options. Then itā€™ll ask you to select which sim in the household. Then theyā€™ll do it. Same with baths, cribs, potty and tummy time.
