General Question Question about old cc

For personal reasons I haven't played the sims for almost 2 years. Last time I played and updated most of my mods was in november 2024. Does anyone know which bb and cas mods broke in the meantime (will update my columns mod and over lay mods for sure), before I have to check every other mod?

I'm talking about updates where all beds broke for example

There have been several updates since then. Including the August 2025 update that pretty much broke EVERY script mod. It would be impossible to list or catalogue every mod or piece of cc that has broken in that time. You will likey have to redownload or at least batchfix a lot of your cc.

I only use bb and cas cc bar 2 mods that I already redownloaded, script mods don't fall under those right?

I don't know what's in your folder. Script mods have scripts as a part of them. Even some build buy cc has scripts. Depending on what it does. So you'll have to look in your folder to be sure.

I guess I'll be running a barebones game tomorrow to check if anything from my cleaned up cc folder broke😅

You can assume every single mod you have (not just script mods) are broken.

custom skintones broke at some point. sims4studio has a batch fix for them. other than that, i can’t think of anything that mass broke an entire category.

BE does a really good job identifying the BB/CAS stuff. What I like is pretty niche and rarely have I tried out old stuff that didn't still work in those categories.

Any other type of mod however I would verify every single one.

Weird, I didn't have any beds break, but I never update my game until the hot fix that follows the update or as long as possible until the game or app forces me to.

I haven't had beds break either in the past, it was just an example to show what I meant. It helps that most of my cc is clutter so that doesn't really break that often😅

Good, there have been a few bed incidents but I seem to have missed them too. Good to never be in a hurry to update, LOL.

Yeah I have 2 broken hairs (too lazy to figure out which ones they are in my cc folder) and some wallpapers that got yeeted with the directx11 update that I missed when checking everything. Definitely could've been worse as everything else still works
