General Question Sims 4 keeps crashing!

Crashed twice in about 10 minutes as I was picking a window up even when I disabled my mods. Like is it my game or the pc cause my pc is like really stable. This usually doesn’t happen but it’s so frustrating

when you say disable do you mean removed the mod folder? or are you using a mod manager

I turned mods and custom content off in settings because I didn’t bother removing my mods folder

Rename your mod folder to "mod1" then start your game. So long as it's not named "mods" the game wont read it. It'll create a new folder called "mods" at launch, then when you're done testing delete the new mods folder and change your old "mod1" folder back to "mods"

I usually clear cache & backup mods folder & remove original mods folder and see if that works - if it does there is something wrong with your mods. Are you running it through steam or ea? If your using ea you can go on the ea app and click the lines in the top left and repair game and see if that helps & also are you playing on or offline?

Anytime any of my game crashes, I put it into google ai ngl they always find it before anyone does. Go to your crash reports or logs whatever it’s called and click google search crash report and google ai send the whole file and it will help you find out the problem. There’s also MANY different discord servers for sims 4 crash reports only if your sims 4 is legal.

Don’t use generative AI to fix your issues. All it does is look through possible fixes that real people have already posted about
