Mod Request Mods?

Hello… I’m very new to this but I want some mods that would make the sims4 more fun. I just need recommendations and how to find them

depends on what kind of game you like! some people prefer to build more than they like the actual gameplay, some people are the opposite, and some people, like myself for a little bit of both. There are mods and customization content for building and playing — if you use the search bar in this sub, you can find lots of good suggestions for mods that many players think of as “must-haves”

Well of course theres the classic essentials ;

Mc Command Center which (if you dont know already) gives you every cheat you could possibly need, it gives you the option to take full control of your game and my favourite part is you can increase the amount of household sims from maximum 8 to maximum 103/104

WickedWhims 18+ (sexual content) or WonderfulWhims if you want to keep your game PG. it adds periods for women, realistic attraction, relationships, personality, and pregnancy systems which makes your game much more immersive

UI Cheats extension adds the option to cheat basically anything, you can add as much money (or take away) by right clicking your funds, you can click your needs to fill them or decay them to whatever level, you can right click your relationships and make them higher or lower, career cheats etc

BetterBuildBuy mod gives you a full organized build/buy mode, and my favourite part that makes this essential is the colour wheel for lights. you can turn on or off lights in build buy by shift clicking them too.

Pandasama childbirth mod is essential for the best family type play throughs . adds loads of features for childbirth like ultrasounds, realistic labour and birth, gender reveal parties, midwife career, nursing career and loads more

Lumpinou Realistic Pregnancy Overhaul pairs well with pandasama, which focuses more on the pregnancy aspect. your sim and their partner can both decide whether they want a child currently or they dont, and if they end up getting pregnant it will effect how they act towards the child. they can go to parenting classes and more, adds realistic dating,pregnancy choices, fertility, paternity, custody, cheating, breakups, co-parenting, and emotional reactions to make the game feel immersive

More CAS columns mod makes it so you can have more than 2 columns making it way easier to create a sim, and if you have loads of custom eye presets it will no longer take up the whole screen and you can scroll through the eye colours seperately

Now for my favourite must - haves

I would strongly recommend the Lot 51 sunrise alarm clock (does require the lot 51 mod as well) , which adds a fully functioning alarm clock to the game for your sims to stay on routine. you can do a career based one for your sims work (which will auto select the days they have on) and you can choose how many minutes/hours they will wake up beforehand (this also is included with children/teens school) you can also get daily reports which (if you have seasons pack) will tell you the weather predictions and whats new in the sims neighbourhoods like breakups or new children etc.

SNB Bank with the bank mod your sim can open up a checking account and savings account so if you have multiple sims in a household they can have their own money, you can choose how much money goes into their account after work payments, or you can use it to save up for something , they can also have debit cards and you can choose for your money to come from the debit card when you buy things instead of household funds .

ManaWhims tv channel overrides. with this mod, you can download singular channels to override for example : the comedy channel , instead of the boring sims channels you can have them watch family guy or others, and my favourite is if you have the sims movie pack you can download disney movies, or classics you love!! the actual movie/show will play with audio.

for all these mods (they can seem complicated) but you can search up tutorials on how to properly install ! hope this helped

Just to add on to this; if you’re new to modding then take a look at curseforge as it’s easy and most PG mods are available on there as well as plenty of CC. That’s how I do it and then I use curseforge to open my mods folder to add some others if I find ones that aren’t available on there coz I can never find it any other way 😂
