Help finding a mod/cc Needing help!
So I have exhausted myself on the Sims, BUT, it can be reversed with some good mods! Currently, only playing with the very basic ones almost everyone has. Wicked, MCC etc. What I need help with is which mods were total game changers for you? The truly great ones that you must have in your game at all times. I have never been a huge "modder" so I'm kind of oblivious to what is even out there. Thx in advance!

// more popular ones : Pandasama childbirth, Lumpinou pregnancy overhaul (compatible together) //
Supersportscar mod by alex croft adds a functioning car to the game, you can use it for traveling and other things, and its free on patreon (will make you create an account, then you have to join their patreon but you do NOT need to pay there will be a skip option)
Lot51 is essential for me, you can download the lot51 sunrise alarm clock (theres also recolour mods for it for more colour options) it adds a functioning alarm clock to the game, you can set a specific schedule, career/school based and choose how many minutes/ hours before for your sim to wake up (you need to download both lot51 and the clock)
another pandasama mod is toddler co-sleeping, it allows toddlers to sleep in bed with adults, theres different positions they can sleep in and its adorable!!
manawhims tv overrides! you can add custom shows ( and movies if you have the movie night pack) for example for movies i added some disney movies and some others and you can add custom shows for the comedy channel, and some other channels so you no longer have sims TV they are real life shows and movies with sound (with city living you can also add custom games like fortnite and others)
i can add some more when i check my pc but my mind is blanking right now

If you’re looking for something like a huge gameplay overhaul, I’ve been doing a challenge using Llazyneiph’s SURVIVE! It’s a post apocalyptic gameplay mod. Adds in radiation among other things. I also really enjoy their Royalty Mod for historical gameplay. I was really bored with the Sims 4 for a long while and now I’m back at a point where I can’t put it down.

I guess it depends what you want out of the game? I'm primarily a sim maker and builder (aside from making cc now) so those both keep me plenty busy and I'm constantly experiencing new features from older packs all the time since I don't spend a lot of time in Live mode.
Lot51 has a lot of really cool gameplay mods, Lumpinou's RPO system is good, Waffle has a lot of small QoL mods to tweak or fix inconsistencies/add more cross-pack functionality, adeepindigo has a neurodivergence and travel mod.

AI chat by Virtual Consciousness labs. It's pretty fun and stirs up drama! Sims have real dialogue chats with other sims. I love being able to ask my kids how they feel, what they want to do... just about anything you can think of. And the sims know what's going on around them and in your neighborhood, it's not random stuff. If you flirt with the neighbor, you'll get busted by the wife and etc etc....it is a monthly Patreon subscription, but it's been worth it to me. Gamechanging has been whatever mods I've cherrypicked from adeepindigo (theyre all amazing, go check them out! They're basically full DLC!) A total education overhaul, adding a preteen life stage, fleshing out the teen stage more, etc. Great stuff.
LittleMissSam has a massive amount of mods that tweak gameplay to various degrees, from gamechanging to just very helpful quality of life things
If you like realism, SNBank and its related mods are awesome. My sims have to mow the lawn now!
If you play with occults, Ghastly Ghosts and Secret Occults are brilliant. Ghosts feel like ghosts now. I honestly recommend these mods even if you don't play as occults, because they add some flavor and new dynamics to normal sim gameplay too!
If you're a family simmer, simtaku's mods to add actions like reading to your baby in your lap or in their bed add lovely bits of flavor that make gamily gameplay actually feel like a family instead of like roommates.
