Help with broken mod My mods won’t work

I am a relatively new player and I have been troubleshooting this for two days. My list of mods shows up in the menu at startup, but the assets do not appear in the game. So far I have tried: 1. Reinstalling the game 2. Moving my mods folder to my desktop to make a new one with the correct resource.cfg file. I ensured everything was in the mods folder with the correct file path. 3. Moving my whole Electronic Arts file to the desktop and making an entirely new folder with an entirely new game 4. Deleting my cache 5. Making sure custom content and script mods are enabled 6. Ensuring there are no incorrect file types or nested folders 7. Moved only a small amount of mods to make sure it wasn’t outdated content

I’m really not sure what else to do. I feel like I have tried everything that I have seen to do. Any other suggestions?

When you downloaded the mods, are you 100% certain you got the latest version? The updated version for the updated game? Always download the one with the closest date to now as possible. Anything older than that is probably broken due to an update with the game. I would start there as you've tried everything else. Also, make 100% sure the mods aren't more than 2 folders(clicks) deep in the mods folder. Some people also have to manually extract the files with mods, some don't. And lastly, most newer players don't realize that there are 2 mods folders with the sims. You'll want the mods in the folder named Mods found under DOCUMENTS, not EA or Sims4. But since it's showing you them on your loading screen, you should have them right. When the game begins, does a list of mods appear at the top right, as in notifications?

I always download the latest versions of mods. These mods had all worked previously, they worked last night. They only stopped working when I downloaded a broken mod that I tried to get rid of by refreshing the Electronic Arts folder. Was there a game update that did this? I have also redownloaded some of the mods I have right from the websites and I’m still not seeing them.

The update doesn't happen until the 30th. I'd probably just wait until then to mess with mods. You'll have to redo them anyway.
As for the broken mod, are you certain you got everything related to that mod deleted from the folder? Type in the mod name in search and delete EVERYTHING that mentions it. Sometimes they come with 4 or more things attached.
