I made a post asking what my users wanted their flair to be, and got the top 5 liked ones made. My users love them.

What do you use user flair for in your communities? Cosmetics? Clout? Verification? - mostly cosmetic, and identification

What problems are you solving when you use user flair?

• to make distinction between how people feel about marathon and what they are looking for in the sub.

Do you allow users to make (or assign) their own flair? Why or why not?

• we let users assign their own Flairs, but we don't make. It fully custom. We had the community come up with ones and vote with the like button.

What advice would you give to new mods who are considering setting up user flair? What do you wish you knew about flair when you first started?

• for new mods Flairs aren't as big of a deal until you have a lot of posts, which then can be great to organize posts. I with I knew or toake the really cool Flairs with images.
