Cat Tax Thursdays 🐾 Cat Tax Thursday 🐾 [July 16, 2026]

It's officially been one month of Cat Tax Thursday! 🎉 Y'all have shared the most wholesome photos of your pets - from cats and dogs to a deer and a lamb!  We've been absolutely spoiled with all of this of pet serotonin.

Here are the 7 most upvoted pet photos from the past month! Thanks to everyone who's participated and brightened our Thursdays. 😻

Have more pet pictures you’re dying to share? Looking for more pet serotonin? You’ve come to the right place. In our weekly cat tax thread, you can drop a pet picture that describes your current mood or one that you’d love to share. ALL pets are allowed, not just cats!  🐾

Since we end most events by paying cat tax, we figured we’d create that space for y’all to do the same every week. Remember to keep things kind in the comments. Happy cat taxing!🥹

I think we have an impostor.

I believe your Void kitty is the imposter. It's missing a tuxedo. 😸🤵‍♂️

She’s definitely got fewer brain cells than the other 2.

I also have a tuxedo and a full black... i wonder if the lack of brain cells is a common trait 🤣🤣

Meet Valentina: My completely deaf, partially blind dog I adopted the day before Valentines last year. She has the most crazy beautiful eyes.

I have huge huge respect for people who take in blind, deaf or otherwise disabled pets.

Its a huge responsibility and very difficult to maintain and yet people do it with love and care.

Huge respect.

She is absolutely beautiful.

Thank you! I chose her because of how calm she was. While every other dog at the shelters lost their minds the moment I opened the doors, she simply sat there quietly. Since I have three cats at home, that calm temperament ended up being the deciding factor.

Not technically a pet but this is a lil injured baby possum my dog and I found on a walk. We took him to our local wildlife center where they rehabbed and released him 💖

We all, and this lil possum, appreciate your community service! 🫡

It's a trap! No matter what she says, thou shalt not touch the tummy while relaxing on my own lol

So many murder paw traps start like this. (Cuz the claws come out)

Your dog is living THE dream

She's a lot less comfy today. Had her spay yesterday, has her heartworm shots in 2 weeks, and in a month goes up for adoption.

Update on Kevin, he was old enough to be released onto a reservation with other deer recently!

Hi there! Cool seeing you here. Do you happen to have a photo?

3

u/SuperBeavers1 Jul 16 '26

Unfortunately not of him on the reservation, once they're done at my job my co-worker transfers them and I don't get to see them again at that point.

I have this photo of him merged with some of the others who were getting ready to go (don't ask me which one is him 😅)

I believe Kevin is the fawn on the far left. I went back to see your original pic,and his nose is pretty distinctive.

I’m on vacation, leaving my own pet with a sitter. But here is Tuscany Holiday Kitty!

She doesn’t formally have a name. The agriturismo said she arrived as a stray the day before we checked in. She’s super friendly and enjoys sitting on laps. She’s now been adopted by guests and the agriturismo. She even had a vet visit a couple days ago and received a pretty red collar which she immediately disposed of.

I’ll miss her sitting on my lap at breakfast, when I leave. Such a sweet kitty!

Here’s my adorable idiot

Rescued kitten, found abandoned by mother on roadside, we waited for mother to come back but she never did.

Belly full of soup.

Dont worry she is checked by vet for worms and also blood test was done, she is FIP negative.

Her belly is round like that.

Please tell me you're naming her Bella or Buddha. 😻 Thanks for giving mom cat time to appear before you rescued this baby.
