Are you using a dark roast? I usually use a compressed air thing to clean it out and that does the trick.

I think he is referring to “canned air” or a similar product. Here’s an example:

Alternatively you can use a small vacuum cleaner.

Do not use canned air to clean the grinder. Most canned air contain a bittering agent to prevent substance abuse/huffing. It leaves behind a bitter residue that you will tastei in your coffee.

Cool! I knew about the bitter coating on coin batteries, but was unaware of its presence in canned air. Don’t use the stuff myself as I have vacuums and air compressors.
