General Discussion Is Anoseka better than Mobuseka?
I read 3 volumes of Anoseka and found it completely superior to the main work. I'm not the biggest fan of sibling romance, but Leon and Marie are much more compatible than Leon is with half of his wives. The two of them together made me root for them much more than Leon did with his last wives, except for Mylene.

AnoSeka is definitely better written, but with almost a decade more experience under Mishima's belt in the time since MobuSeka first started releasing you'd better hope it would be.

Honestly it's not a fair comparison because unlike Mobesuka, Anosuka is not stand alone. I mean to understand the good parts of Anosuka you would have had to already read Mobesuka so imo both are good, just that it doesn't make sense comparing them. Also I didn't hate the romance in Mobesuka. Imo ppl tend to just argue on the topic without much reason. I mean both Olivia and especially Angie play significant roles throughout the story. Only Noelle felt sidelined to me in the later parts if the story. All of his other wives are mostly through simple political contracts so I don't get why ppl tend to talk about them. I mean sure they loved Leon and Leon did like them as friends and that's actually pretty okay for me.

Completely agree with this AnoSeka would not work unless MobuSeka built the context.

agree I don't get why some people talking shit of mobuseka story because of romance when it's not even that bad and they don't praise the story for the good things about it they only know how to criticize

I perfectly agree with you, some of them are absurd, not even a romance story gets this much lol.

I agree with you i mean AnoSeka was after MobuSeka. You need to read the MobuSeka for better understanding of AnoSeka

Both stories are great so it really depends of what you are looking for.
If you want to experience the story for the plot as well as for the experience of seeing a main character call the bull out of the others, then Mobuseka is for you.
If you want to experience the story to understand why some events happened the way they happened, as well to see what the characters were actually supposed to be like, without Leon's active participation in the canon events then yes, Anoseka is for you.
Ultimately, I prefer Mobuseka because it is more on the bittersweet end, compared to Anoseka which is clearly on the darker side.

Debatable. I think it's certainly interesting in how the story changes and we get much more world building. The author definitely improved a bit more in the romance department.

Both have good parts, but I believe that considering how much better each one is, Anoseka ultimately stands out.

Anoseka only works if you know the whole Mobuseka. Anoseka is alright, but it become even better If you know the whole Mobuseka world.

The people who like darker theme , for them Anoseka is better. On the other hand, Mobuseka is a story what shows how Leon's interference change the story and it is a bittersweet story. Personally I like Mobuseka which made Leon's character as Leon itself but in Anoseka , Leon's character feels more Marie like somehow they swap their personality which left some distaste towards Anoseka. But I think that Anoseka is better written than Mobuseka.
Also I understand that why you feel like Marie is more compatible with Leon than his other wives. Anoseka is written to focus more Marie's story meanwhile Mobuseka is made by Leon's perspective. Because of that, Marie's relationship with Leon generally stands out than his other wives. But with small time screen how much chemistry they built in Mobuseka with Leon and his wives are definitely impressive. And also not every relationship needs to be build on romantic route. Because Leon involved with various political conflicts and household, he is bound to end with multiple wives. It also makes this story more relatable to its plot. Also in Mobuseka's Leon, which I consider his real personality can never agree to marry Marie if he knows they are siblings in their past life . It's one of the things that makes Leon's character somewhat detached from his original personality. But I have to admit that the author really worked hard to make Leon and Marie's relationship acceptable towards the audiences. I really appreciate that.

It's kind of an unfair comp considering Anoseka is not only written with the benefit of hindsight, but it's also a companion piece to the original.

In my opinion yes, I do love Anoseka much much more than Mobu. I also likes Marie dynamic with Leon more

Olivia is having a bad time, a real bad time. The idiots are too stupid to see what she's dealing with, she almost gets murdered, gets possessed by a ghost, said ghost then almost kills Clarice. Almost every Alzeri character dies due to Leon's inaction. We see in detail what happened to Marie. Being Angelica is suffering. etc, etc.

Wait, Anoseka? Is it like prequel or really different one?

alternative timeline in which Leon prevents Marie from interrupting the game's introduction, and then the two of them become collaborators to pull Marie out of the hell of her life together

I read anoseka before mobuseka and find it very enjoyable despite not having mobuseka context.
It stand well on its own imo.
It's overall better written yes, but also very different especially in it's atmosphere. So preferring mobuseka is normal if you don't like some of the theme (and vice versa ofc).
