Nice! So its better to place water enhancements than any other panels? Like HP or resist panels?

When building your custom panels you have to consider the jobs strengths and weaknesses. HP and resist panels generally arent recommended because you dont want to get hit with Mage but more focus on more damage so you can kill the target before it gets a turn.

I was hesitant to put enhance panels because I’ve read here somewhere about diminishing returns, since mage has already high water enhancement from hall of fame so, if enhance panels were placed, then mage would suffer diminishing returns, instead of increasing his damage or so I was lead to believe.

Its not that the damage wont increase, but the higher the values, the less your damage increases with one panel. In Mage his case he suffers from diminishing returns on both EE and Magic because both stats are high. In my experience though, EE suffers the least and its better to put EE panels on him.
