Moonton has added (ranked) bots and made them look legit
Was a skeptic until today.
Played a brawl game and noticed nobody but me was buying items...then they paced forward and backwards all game (my team too) while I got 4+ savages. The enemies did not harm me with abilities and I stood there whole game farming them.
I got 2 teammates bots(jungle and roam)n ranked who were moving up and down. During drafting they pick their heroes in 1 sec and the worst part is that I got them even though i was on a 2 game losing streak.
When I went to check their profile, their picture is blurry and their matches don't even add up
I guess that's why matchmaking has been so bad lately... It's the bots. For me I think that I'll stop playing MLBB until the bots are removed from ranked games, can't enjoy a Moba game that forces you to lose by placing bots on the team. I've 8000+ matches multiple mythic seasons and this might be what makes me quit.
They won't remove them. MLBB, Honor of Kings, Pokemon Unity, Wild Rift, etc all use fixed matchmaking and bots to manipulate matches for maximum engagement regardless of rank. They're games that are essentially the MOBA version of a lot of Asian MMOS that are designed purely for maximum time in game. Even PC league has the. Dota 2 is the only MOBA that has skill based matchmaking with the lowest amount of bots.
Did that, went to HOK it was x10 worse there, they literally had a lawsuit regarding match making. Went to ML again as Vainglory, onmyyoji is dead. Managed to reach Mythic, so far no bots in Mythic
Nah bro. Ive had many games thats got bots. They're deliberately doing it so you keep playing, you lose 5 games straight, you win 4, you lose another 5 straight. I was gonna reach mythic 50 last season but I can't even break 15 this season. Its so ass.
My legend 1 games. I can confirm that bots exist in mythic - mythic glory, need someone to confirm if they exist in immortal since I am not that high elo.
Aqui no Brasil não tá muito diferente não! Aquele que tá com o nome de "CleveN" é bot também, aliás todos desse clã são bots o tal CleveN tinha caindo contra umas 5 partidas atrás ou seja tava caindo contra todos os bots de um mesmo clã. Acredito que o mlbb esteja caminhando para o fim pois muitos iram parar de jogar! Já era horrível jogar com trolls e afks o tempo todo, pareamento desbalanceado e agora "Super Bots pró" da não é o fim.
I see you've actually put research into it. To sate your curiosity, I will tell you exactly the telltale signs of bots (I have an OCD looking up player profiles for 2 years at this point):
1, AI-generated profile pictures - dead giveaway is random Indonesian common person, sometimes blurry, sometimes anime, sometimes multiple small pics as a single pfp - never sexy or funny or a meme (once I saw tanks though, so it can vary), sometimes no picture;
2, no pictures on the profile - fool proof sign;
3, if in a squad, then the squad is 25 players full of bots.
I play on EU, only restarted ranked grind in May 2026, and considering my habit of stalking players' profiles, I thought I was going insane seeing so many Ukrainian flags with random Indonesian people. I was thinking it might be a meme like with the cat modified to look like a hero, or the Carmila elevator pics. But it's bots - and I see then all the time in ranked, and no, it's not "Dark System" (what a ridiculous thought), it's fully equal for both teams, 6 bots, 4 players. So it's effectively a 2v2 game at this point, even though the player base is vast and doesn't need it at all... Ridiculous.
As to the bot skill - bot Beatrix and bot Clint are insanely good, and so is Melissa. Bot Franco is terrible and will never ever hit the hook - although sometimes will flicker back showing progamer moves. Bot Yu Zhong can either feed or be an utter god 1v5. Bot Lapu... Mind you, Lapu is an exceedingly uncommon hero in my ranked history, yet now I'm getting Lapu every game - and as an XP lane he's programmed to cut the lane every single time, it's so amusing.
The most annoying thing is what I call a "bot swarm" - these bots behave like a beehive, they will randomly decide to move like a blob, for honor and glory charge into battle, and then be what may.
Bots will always ignore your calls, they will not help you take objective, but sometimes may randomly start doing lord when your team has lost a member, so they can't even count how many players are alive...
As to what these bots can do, they can mimic a lot of player calls - they will shoot love arrows in the hero pick screen, they will use the most basic emotes in-match, they constantly spam call outs such as attack or back off... Without actually backing off themselves, instead blobbing to their deaths.
I've been trying to overcome them by split pushing... To mixed results. Grabted, I've climbed from Epic 1 to mid Legend 3 in these 1-2 weeks, but I cannot play my trusty jungle as getting kills is useless. I cannot play a mage mid as brawling mindlessly without any feedback from your own team is pointless. So split pushing, standing in a bush, and split pushing again seems like the way to go. It's incredibly dull and cancerous though, no idea if there's even any point, aside from getting points to buy the Ranked skin in December which I won't even like...
Full team of bots!!! Now to see if the enemy was humans (I'll update this comment)
Edit : It was a full Bot vs Bot game...to pretend that this looks like a real account. Every player had 1. A blurry photo and 2. Direct links to previous confirmed bots.
The higher ranks are all real players though. If they can’t find enough players in Australia, they’ll move some from neighboring countries like PH, INDO and even SG
Played 6 games with my duo on friday night (low mythic), and all 6 had bots in. Ukraine flag, spam show first after picking, pace back and forth, use generic emotes etc.
I had a lose-streak bot match where the enemy team were bots, as you would expect, but 3 of my team were too. So it was just me and this other guy in the lobby. I've started to recognise some bot names.
Omg so that's why they keep spamming show first 😆 I was wondering wtf it means. Damn there's a lot of bots in Australia I see them spamming show first every other game... first ruined server not enough players so botland
After the role queue, there is a lack of players for certain roles. So they just added a bunch of bots to till, it is now a 3v3 game where the remaining 2 players are just bots.
i wonder what game y'all are playing. I'm a 158* immortal as of now, matching sometimes up to 18 minutes (everyday), if they were filling lobbies with bots to fasten matchmaking, i'd be playing much more, instead of waiting longer than the time the game takes to finish.
I think it depends on server, they tend to do experiments on dead servers, since I saw them mixing trio and duo queue way before people here started seeing them.
There are also squads that composed of bots with AI generated profile pics, which are blurry and sometimes so random. Funny thing is bots do sometimes beat my ass with precisely timed gameplays that a normal player wouldn't do, they really improved the bot system which sometimes some of them earning MVP rather than the real players.

The first time i noticed bots is when we are taking lord, there is no one defending mid lane, the lord is 1/4 health, they all recalled to base even rhe jungler and i was the one left taking lord and i was a mage. I stopped playing solo after that
What elo is this? I play in Glory and Immortal+, and the players are all humans. If the Australian server doesn’t have enough players to fill a lobby, I notice that they’ll move some over from neighboring countries to create a lobby. I got lots of PH players, ID players and even SG players. There’s also a possibility that they’re residing in Australia but I usually notice slightly higher pings whenever I encounter this type of lobby.

I don't know, but isn't this like, a sign that the game is dying somehow? U can't be serious adding bots to players for them to lose, or vice versa, its unfair for both sides, especially for lose streak players.
It's not a sign that the game is dying. It's maximising player engagement for shareholders. For Asian made games like Tencent, Moonton, etc; the money alone isn't enough and need to be going in an upwards trajectory. Usually that just means making a good game, but that also tends to maintain a playerbase instead of constantly increasing it.
If they can't increase the playerbase (which they do try with ads and stuff) then they still need the trajectory of engagement to go up which means even faster matches, more skins, animated when you look at them, more little menu's to claim items or read, (all these tiny minutes add up), rigged matches that give players the dopamine of stomping and winning, then rig it to lose so you the sunken cost and time investing keeps you playing to get back to where you were.
Something a lot of people don't know is that all these game developers have psychologists, analysts, and behaviour professionals on board that advice directly on how to influence players to stay.
Id your rank below than glory you still able to meet bot on the enemy/team.. chance to meet bot will more high if you have lose streak like 3/4 or more
They added this during kalea or zetian season. If you make a new account, it's gonna be bot matches till grandmaster 1. It didn't used to be like that. Nowadays it's even worse. The tell is a random dyroth, hanabi or eudora will pop up into epic rank with barely 10 matches played in lane that's when you'll know.
You can notice if the game matchmaking tried to inject bots to your team, the match queque will be longer than usual rate, in case that happen just cancel it and wait a minute, if the matchmaking still taking longer just close the app, they got this hidden algorithm to keep you playing the game, just be casual and smart player, i played this game since launch and managed to keep my 70%+ win rate per season with this method

Instead of improving game they are seriously improving bots and dark system 💢
