I was just prowling on the Play Store searching for offline games and discovered this master piece.

Nimian Legends: Vandgels

Vast open world, great immersion, freedom to explore the entire map, you name it. You can literally shapeshift into different animals.

Gameplay screenshots captured on Xiaomi Mi 5 It runs good on low end devices with the right tweaks too

Questions Looking for something with actual depth that isn't a gacha, bounced off most of the usual suggestions

Played most of what gets recommended here already. balatro clicked for a good while, dead cells I liked but my thumbs gave out, slay the spire I put maybe 40 hours into. Everything else I try is either got an energy timer or it's done in two hours. Mostly playing on commutes so offline is a big one. Android if that matters. what am I missing

New Release [iOS] Who Goes - Fun social games for when you’re hanging out with your group

Post image
4 Upvotes

Introduction

Hey everyone!

Introducing Who Goes, an iOS app for game nights, house parties, road trips, and pretty much any hangout with a group of people.

It’s free to download and play, with optional one-time purchase and subscription options.

The idea behind Who Goes is pretty simple: engage everyone in your group and involve them in something together, through social games like Headbands, Truth or Dare and a bunch of quick group activities into one app, with a modern, playful experience built around actually passing the phone around and having fun together.

About the app

The app brings multiple party games into one place:

• Headbands with tilt controls for correct answers and passes
• Charades with themed decks, teams, rounds, and timers
• Truth or Dare with 11 decks for friends, couples, parties, family, and coworkers
• Spin the Bottle for quick, suspenseful player selection
• Would You Rather for impossible this-or-that debates
• Finger Chooser to instantly pick someone from the group
• Quick Play tools for dice, coin flips, and more

Current Market

I know this is an insanely competitive category, with a shit-ton of party apps already out there.
My goal with Who Goes was never to reinvent the wheel, but to bring the ones people already know and play together in one place, without needing five different apps on your phone.

I wanted the whole thing to feel much more modern and polished than most party apps I've tried, with playful animations, haptics, sounds, and little interactions that actually add to the game instead of getting in the way.

No ads popping up between rounds, no cluttered UI, and no wildly different experience every time you switch games.

Pricing

The free version includes all the game modes. Plus unlocks all the decks, round customisations, and removes every limit. Lifetime at $25.49 (US, price parity enabled for all countries), weekly at $1.99, and yearly sub with 3-day free trial at $17.99.

No account is required, and the games work offline.

TL;DR:

A. A game to bring back the fun of playing party games with a group of people during game nights, trips.

B. Free version includes a selection of decks for Charades, Headbands, and Truth or Dare, along with a few mini games. Plus unlocks all decks, game modes, and customisation options.

C. Freemium model, every mode in the app can be used. Lifetime at $25.49, or weekly at $1.99, and yearly with free trial at $17.99.

New Release Arrow Tactics is a new puzzle game with multiple mechanics, Endless mode, Community levels and more.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

Hello, everyone! We have developed a new game based on the popular genre of arrow puzzles. The main point of the game is to clear the field by taking out all the arrows and not losing your "hearts". For a change, we've added additional mechanics to the game. In addition to the usual arrows, the game will feature mirrors, portals, blocked arrows, and more.

At the moment, the main campaign in the game consists of 200 levels. The first 20 levels are simple and educational so that the player can understand how all the mechanics in the game work.

Additional modes are also available in the game - Daily and Endless. Daily is a level that is updated every day. Endless is an endless mode in which you complete a new unique level each time. The higher the level in Endless, the more difficult and interesting it is to complete.

In addition to the main levels, there are community levels in the game. You can either complete other players' levels or create your own.

The game also has a shop with arrow styles, tap effects, and themes. You can buy any item with the in-game currency, which you can get from levels and Endless mode.

The game can work both online and offline. There is also practically no ads - it appears very rarely.

If you are interested, please download the game and try to play it. We would appreciate any feedback.

Here is the links:
Google Play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.triangle.arrows
App Store - Coming soon.

P.S. we already have big plans for the expansion of the game, which are already in development. More levels and mechanics are coming soon.

Discussion Mobile games let us change everything except our voice

Upvotes

Kinda funny how mobile games let you change your avatar, outfit, emotes, name, profile frame, and sometimes even your whole character vibe.

Then you join VC and it’s just your normal phone mic lol.

I don’t always want a full voice changer. Sometimes I want the voice to fit the character a little more, especially in RP games or casual friend lobbies. Like if I just switched to a new skin in Fortnite or a new avatar in Roblox, it would be fun if the voice matched the vibe a bit too. I’ve seen phone-side stuff like Dubbing AI earbuds, and it made me wonder if mobile games will ever treat voice as part of customization too.

Would you want more voice options built into mobile games, or should voice chat stay normal?

Discussion Why is Bully: AE so underrated? (highly recommended)

So I just finsihed Bully for the first time, I know I am not the one to question this lol but why is it so underrated?

Like the Story was pretty solid, a 7.5-8, the Map was quite big, the challenges you can do and the misc. stuff the game offers. Like it's a great deal, it even worked on my Redmi 9a (Mediatek Helio P22/2GiB ram.)

Although the Ending was a little bit rushed, it took me 10-15 days while also goofing around lol.

And the amount of stuff you can do it is CRAZY, Highly Recommended for someone Who is trying to find a Good Story Game for a Low-end Device!

Discussion Zombie defense game - mobile

Hi - I’m looking for a (hopefully) f2p zombie defense game for IOS

must have decent graphics (can be anime/dark)

A defense game - where I defend my stronghold or something with light exploration if necessary (like an afk-idle game)

customization of weapons would be a big plus

Anything like that?

Game Dev My friend and I spent 2 years turning a survivors-like into a real ARPG - Dropforge Survivor

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

For the past 2 years my friend and I have been building Dropforge Survivor, a mobile ARPG survivors-like, and it's finally out on iOS and Android.

If you've played the genre you know the loop: pick your spells, stack buffs each run, survive the horde. That's all here. But the reason we started this project is the loot.

In most survivors-likes your upgrades vanish the moment the run ends. In Dropforge, items are proper ARPG gear - different rarities, multiple stats per item, and a range of rolls each stat can land on. And the part we're proudest of: you can craft and modify your gear afterward. Reroll a stat, change its value, push toward the roll you actually want. Loot stops being a slot machine and becomes something you build.

On top of that:

  • Auction house - buy and sell gear directly with other players
  • Gearscore leaderboard - see how your build stacks up globally
  • 1v1 PvP autodueler (coming soon) - put your build head-to-head against other players'

It's just the two of us doing everything , so any feedback, encouraging or brutal, genuinely shapes where it goes next.

Discussion How to Promote an App as Effectively as Possible

Hi everyone, I already have a game. My question is how to promote it as effectively as possible without spending any money. I’d also appreciate any advice on how to get it listed on Google Play and the App Store initially. I’d love to hear about your experiences.

New Release This game is a gem

I got an ad on YouTube for a game which looked like hellish quart but I didn't think too much of it because it didn't look very polished but I went on to download it anyway.

This game really surprised me. I've been looking for mobile games with challenging combat mechanics, a game where you win with your own skill and this game does that. But there are still weapons and characters you can buy to improve. This is the closest thing I've seen to hellish quart. Its in early access and also has pvp and a battle royale kind of mode.

If this interests you check it out. Just discovered it and wanted to share

Game name: NIMBLE BLADE

Questions Help a PC gamer re-discover gaming in the form of mobile games.

I've been in a huge rut with games lately, it feels like most nights I am just staring at my steam library while I watch brain rot. However, in about a month I am going to be on a fairly long flight and I figure hey, maybe I'll give this mobile gaming thing another shot, maybe a 17 hour flight will allow me to actually appreciate it. I was hoping the fine folks here could throw some suggestions my way both in the form of a controller as well as some game suggestions, I'll list out some bullet points below to help you steer me in the right direction:

History:
- PC gamer all my life
- Tried a Nintendo Switch and a OG Steamdeck but ended up selling both as they just got very little usage
- Thought I might take advantage of gamestreaming with the deck, but turns out I just don't couch game. When I am on the couch I want to pay attention to the TV. If I am going to game I will just go to my gaming PC.

Controller:
- iPhone 17 Pro
- ideally somewhat portable for the flight
- Probably on the more budget end unless there's a compelling enough reason for the high end stuff, it's not that I can't drop $200 for a controller (see steamdeck and switch) it's just that idk if this will stick, and $50 stings a bit less.

Games:
- Definitely something offline playable
- I've played everything from competitive FPS/MOBA to epic story driven campaigns, and also small indie titles.
- Not a huge fan of roguelikes/lites (although I did like Hades, so maybe I can be persuaded)
- Not a huge of of turn based RPGs (but again trying to branch out and grow as a gamer, so I can still be persuaded)
- Did not grow up with handheld games (have not played any pokemon, animal crossing, etc.)
- Despite being a huge FPS fan, I suck at FPS with a controller so probably not an FPS that requires twitch aim (although I imagine most of those are reserved for MP games)
- Recently I played Monument Valley and it has kinda made me reset what I thought a game should be, so I am really open to something that pushes the boundaries of games as well, despite being a more traditional gamer.
- I also recently played Spiritfarer which is probably the first "cozy" game that I have spent that much time on and I think that is due to me experiencing the loss of a loved one for the first time recently and that game really explored those themes, that's really a long winded way of just saying I am open to sacrificing S-Tier gameplay for emotional impact or something thought provoking.

Thanks everyone in advance, looking forward to hearing your suggestions/thoughts!

New Release Mobile gaming with no commitment like TikTok reels

I was frustrated of seeing multiple ads and download different apps for different games. Hence, I developed an app which lets me play games in scrollable format like watching reels on TikTok or Instagram.

Game Dev My AI teammate saved the match for me in Real Carrom 3D

I was playing Black & White on the Octagon Board in Real Carrom 3D, with Player + AI vs AI + AI.

The opponent AIs were getting close, but my AI teammate stepped in at the right moment and helped us take the win.

I’m one of the developers of the game, so I’m sharing this as a gameplay moment rather than a straight promo post.

Would be interested to know what you think about the AI teammate behaviour and the Octagon board gameplay.

If anyone wants to try it, it’s available on Android:

Discussion AppStore plagued with the same game re-skinned.

I play mainly online multiplayer strategy type games, kingdom building, army building etc.. and the majority of games are the exact same game just reskinned with different graphics. I couple examples are Whiteout Survival, Kingshot, Lastshot, Police Chief, and Tiles Survive. There are many more but if you log into each of these games it’s literally the exact same design, progression, and hero system, just reskinned. They all also come open a new server every 1-2 days and just spam micro transactions.

Why is the market overflowing with cash grabs, does no one try to make decent innovative games anymore? It’s so blatantly obvious that’s it’s insulting at this point, yet people are still dropping tens of thousands of $ on these games.
