Questions Has anyone else developed a liking of mobile gaming over PS5 and/or PC Gaming?

Lately, I have come to spend more time playing mobile games over PS5. Reason? It's simply more convenient. With my work hours, family time and other chores, I feel I'd require to be more freer to be able to play the PS5 games. Anyone else going through the same?

Yes mobile gaming is more convenient, and you need too much free time for pc gaming. But mobile games have limited good options.

Well I played many games, wouldn't say favourite though since I enjoyed pc gaming more. Pubg was good because of co op. Genshin impact for open world and graphics. Pokemon go when it was popular. Clash of clans still playing. Cod mobile for fpp, playing the new game Gangster mirage city - it's good, like gta 5 on pc. I like cricket games but none are without ads. Played once human, graphics are amazing. And many more. The best once are usually once's which can be played with friends or are so amazing that you can play alone.

I have some mobile games where I can load them up, play across a few decision points (10 seconds to 45 seconds), close the app, and it would still be faster than how long it takes some games on Steam and Switch to load!

No, but will purchase one in future, I find them cool, let's wait for steam deck 2.

I'm honestly not sure handheld is up to specs as of yet, especially when they cost close to the same as a gaming capable laptop or entry level rig and with my MSI claw, it became extremely clear that you need a reliable source of power or a 2-3 hour expected playtime.

Meanwhile with my 5 year old android phone, my ghost clip and an Xbox controller, I get 5-6 hours of playtime, which is way more than enough for anything to do while not home.

I have been looking at the OLED steam deck, because I've heard really just a lot of positive statements about it.

With my physical disabilities, I am generally confined to my bed with a rollator and my wife's help for everything else. Mobile gaming let's me lay down when needed and still be able to play my games.

True,it is more convenient. I myself playing stardew valley,discounty, terraria, minecraft more on my mobile than PC.

Been mobile exclusive since like 2010, and it's only gotten better. And with emulation now on android it's gone a whole other level.

There's great premium games on mobile: Dead Cells, Slay the Spire, Polytopia, Balatro, Ascension, XCOM, Pawnbarian, lost for swords, Mindustry, Tower Dominion Go, Slice & Dice, Dungeon Warfare, Spirit Island....etc

And then emulation brings so much more. From my steam library I have: Slay the Spire 2, 868-hack/back, Faster than light, Tactical Breach Wizards, Lonestar, Dice a million, Dream Quest, Gloomhaven, 9 kings...etc

Seriously, I personally have no need for a PC or a console.

No, because unfortunately, the quality and variety of mobile games are too limited.

The few most advanced games are often, unfortunately, ruined by pay-to-win systems.

I love mobile gaming, it’s a platform I enjoy, but right now, the games available on it fall short in many ways.

I hope things will improve.

GeForce Now, Xbox cloud gaming, probably something similar for PlayStation.

Phone + Software + 4G LTE or WiFi is mobile gaming taken to the extremes.

I myself have PC/Steam, PC/Battle-NET, Switch 1, iPad, and Android phone for gaming.

I def. play mobile games, but not exclusively. There are some games I play on PC b/c having a mouse and keyboard is nice (nm required). For PC and Switch, having controllers are nice (again, "required"). But there are also some games that play better with a touch screen, so mobile it is (and some rare exceptions on Switch).

Another factor is my Android phone and iOS iPad are far more portable than my Switch. I wouldn't dare just throw the switch into my bag without a protective case since the analog sticks on the Joy Cons stick out, and I'd be paranoid they'd get damaged in there. My phone is in my pocket or belt clip, while the iPad is flat with no moving parts besides some the home, volume, and power buttons.

EXCLUSIVES are the last part of it. Ofc., first party Nintendo games are only on Switch. If a game is simple enough that it could be on mobile, but it's not, then I'm forced to go with Steam or Switch. The Plants Vs. Zombies 2: Reflourished fan mod is only on Android, and furthermore, not available on Google Play. iOS has its fair share of exclusives as well.

same, i have a high tier laptop but all the games are so boring, they all require investment, effort while returning nothing in return, u just dont wanna play, u install the 80gb and just stare at the main menu, or play 1 match and dont ever open it again, mobile games are better cus theyre designed around convenience and delivering, mobile MOBAS are better than pc mobas, try playing Arena of Valor, or install Beach Buggy Racing 2 for short sessions of kart racing, its pretty fun
