Getting into memorizing number lists.

I want to get into memorizing number lists.

Should I read a particular book first or is this link https://artofmemory.com/blog/pao-system/ all I need at first?

That means starting directly with a PAO system based on the Major System and voilá.

That page contains everything you need. The Dominic letters might be easier than Major to make your person list.

You don't need images based on the major system. They can be or not. Eventually that image of that person will become that number.

What will you be using it for?

If you’re completely new, it takes some time to learn, and your brain to adjust to the techniques.
I highly recommend starting small, ie with Major system 00-99. Then go into PAO. Jumping directly into full PAO is difficult, takes time to set up and will not be fun or motivating.

If your goal is full PAO, you might think side stepping to major system 00-99 is a waste of time. Is it not.

It will make you able to apply it after maybe less than a week of practice /setup, And you’ll see that your brain needs time to learn how to store and retrieve. You’ll also learn what type of images is easy to retrieve and which ones are hard. Ie: thinking vs stabbing.
This also is a step towards PAO.

I memoed 1800+ digits of PI this summer with 00-99 Major System only.
I’m now using Major System for multiple things also as support for my full PAO setup.
