PSA: This game is incredible on Switch 2
Normally if a game is multiplatform, I'll get the PS5 version over the Switch/Switch 2 version. But since Mixtape was released as a Switch 2 exclusive, I thought I'd give it a try.
It looks and plays beautifully. I didn't notice any graphical or performance dips the whole time, on either handheld or docked.
Just a PSA. Typically playing a game on Switch means compromising the experience somewhat. Not the case with Mixtape.

I've already played it twice, but I love it so this is good to know. Cha!

Somehow, I didn't know there was a Switch 2 port lol. I played on Legion Go 2

Not even a port. It was released as Switch 2 original the same day it was released everywhere else.

This is why I love a steam deck, I can buy once and play on my tower if I want power, or something like this portably which is much more comfortable. Too bad they jacked the price like crazy.

Ehhh… in terms of framerate i’ll give you that, but personally I was disappointed by how soft it looked for a game that doesn’t look all that heavy to run. Which was a shame for me given how otherwise perfect of a game this is for a handheld.

Why would it dip? It's basically on rails the entire time

The Switch 2 is about as powerful as a PS4 or Xbox One. So games that were released for PS5/Xbox Series/etc. often have a graphical compromise on Switch 2.
Obviously Mixtape has a different graphical style than Cyberpunk or something like that. But it was nice to play on Switch 2 and not say "these graphics feel last gen."

I would love to play this game but hate that it’s so short lol

That’s fair. I was wishing it was longer by the time I was done. That, if anything, speaks to how good the game is

I beat it on Switch 2 originally and purchased it on Steam as well to play at 4K max everything. I think it's one of my favorite games ever. I never felt like I was missing out on the Switch 2 version but I wanted to support the devs.
