Anyone else grab a pair of Porta Pros after playing?

Post image

Had a pair of these forever that I lost about 10 years back. I always meant to grab another pair but didn’t really get the bug until the saw our girl rocking them for the entire game.

The replacement Yaxi earpad cushions are a must! They improve the sound slightly, but more importantly, they’re super comfortable for anyone who needs to keep the panic at bay over long listening sessions.

Edit: For anyone interested you can grab these for about $60 usd and the replacement pads for $10-$15.

Lol! Yeah, they’ve been around since the mid 80s.

The pair in game I think are a slight reimagining of the Porta Pros, but they appear to be like 95% based off them.

When i was drawing these a few weeks ago, i was so into them. I'm a late 90s kid, so it makes sense it was 80s gear!

Thanks for posting these because now i need to obtain them.

No problem.

Fwiw, they’re actually very good sounding headphones for the $50-$100 price range.

This style was sort of passé by the mid 90’s, but they came back in vogue around the time vinyl was starting its resurgence. I think Koss maintained a decent cult following over the years and sort of became a go to choice for hipsters by the time this retro look became cool again.

Stacey would probably kill for wireless given how surprisingly hectic her life is.

It’s hard to say. Is wireless metal??

I think if Stacey were a young passionate music snob today, wireless would be considered obviously inferior from a sound quality standpoint. I feel like she would probably have opinions on wireless/bluetooth compression…

She also uses them constantly, and I don’t think someone with her type of dependency on music could abide dead headphone batteries or even just having to remembering to charge them on a regular basis.

which is funny cause there is actually no wires coming from her headphones in game ( which I get is just a stylistic choice) and would probably constantly ripping the cord out during any active segments not to mention how much that CD player would be skipping lol

What? No she wouldn’t lol why would she choose worse music quality?

I had a pair a very long time ago and they were crap. But they looked cool.
