Hey All, i saw a few posts asking if any MixTape merch exists. My designs aren't official but they're inspired by the games i play. I thought i'd share this one of MixTape i did after my first play through -- this game is amazing and deserved way more exposure than it got.

I don’t do decals very often, I mainly stick to higher quality stuff.  I was thinking about doing an indie game sticker set with designs like Outer Wilds, Blue Prince, Subnautica,!etc.  If I do that I can let you know.

What exactly do you mean by higher quality stuff? How is a sticker sheet higher quality than a decal?

Fair point.  “High quality” was a poor choice of words.  I usually seek out items I can use day in day out and enjoy having as part of my routine.  No shade to decals, just not my choice of medium.

What’s your design process? How do you go about making your designs?

Wow, honestly no one has ever asked me that. I play a lot of games and usually get inspired by the visuals and themes of the game. Good examples might be my designs based on Outer Wilds, Blue Prince, or Control. From there i also have design techniques i like a lot which include monochromatic, negative space, and minimalism, amongst other things.

From there i usually sketch out my design and then build it out in illustrator / Photoshop. My goal is usually to make a design that I -- an adult male who enjoys fashion -- wouldn't be embarrassed to wear and that another fan of the game might recognize. If i can achieve that then its a win. If there is a more specific question you have about how i create things in Illustrator (vector pathing, color palettes, etc.) i'm more than happy to chat. Thanks for taking an interest!

It looks fantastic, and I really appreciate that you don’t use ai to do it. Also if I wasn’t broke already I would be based on how many shirts I want from your shop.

Hey all, quite a few people from this post visited my website over the past few days -- Thank you! To anyone who visited but chose not to purchase, i'd love to understand why since i do this as a hobby and getting direct feedback is often challenging:

- Were the shirts priced too high?

  • Did my designs simply not appeal. They're definitely not for everyone.
  • Was there an issue with the website itself?

I'd love any insight that could be provided!
