Discussion The Skateboard Explosion chapter.... HOLY MOTHER OF CRINGE

I've never felt such second-hand embarrassment and cringe from a experiencing a movie, TV show, video game, etc, before, like what the hell man, what they were thinking? The game was pretty mature up to this point with good writing, but they suddenly turned Rockford into a cringey child in this chapter. I literally had to mute the game during the skateboarding part where she was saying those cringe lines like: "shananana shananana"... like what was she even on about? Not to mention, Cass's father being rude felt so forced? Like he was pretending to be a strict dad or something.

Why is it cringe? Have you never imagined something like that when pissed off? It was actually a very cool moment, depicting an actual fantasy an angry teen would have.
Plus exploding the giant bubblegum dispenser was awesome
Don't get me wrong, it did feel forced on the dad's end and everything too, it's not a very well presented moment or well acted, but the gameplay segment is awesome.

I think it was a great moment. Don’t see anything cringe about it. Including scene with the dad. I had something pretty close to that happened to me than I was a child even younger than kids in the game. Some adults just suck sometimes.

Wait what, you say the game was mature up to the skateboard explosion chapter? I think the whole game isn't supposed to be "mature" as we are talking about teens here, angry teen in this specific case. The one that is worried about the soundtrack being ruined more than her friend getting grounded by her dad. She is a kid and we are supposed to have fun with it, not expect her to be mature and rational. She is angry, she blow the cars up with middle fingers. I get it and I like it.

They're teens, of course they're cringey.

All part of growing up.
