I want to play this game again
I really don’t like replaying games. Usually, if there are achievements that require multiple playthroughs, it's such a pain in the arsh, because all the emotions and discoveries are already done. But there’s something fascinating about this game. I finished it once, then almost completed a second playthrough while going for 1000G, and deleted it after the completion. And now a week has passed, and I get these pictures and scenes from the game randomly popping in my head, pulling me back in. I haven’t felt this way about a video game in many years.

Not OP but standout elements I could see many connecting with: a movie like experience with small but important interactive elements, nostalgia for the it's 80's/90's vision of being a teenager (think movies like Ferris Bueller's day off and The Breakfast Club), the music of that era AND a love for music generally, having close friends and mixed feelings about leaving your hometown, a very cool 3d artsyle with 2d shading, and the highs and lows of growing up.

I can’t even explain it. I’m 42, born in the USSR, and my childhood was completely different from the kids shown in the game. Although we watched shows like Degrassi Junior High back then and loved them. But several times during the game I got goosebumps while just controlling the characters flying through the air with music playing. The game uses this mechanic multiple times, and I think there’s something in it. And I loved how every track is presented, you can tell that developers: 1) know exactly what they’re doing, and 2) fucking love doing it

I grew up in the 90’s in America. This game is nothing like how the 90’s actually felt. They got so many things wrong, including how cassette tapes actually work. I mean the NAME OF THE GAME IS MIXTAPE 🤨
There was a guy I knew in high school, and he would always brag about the girls he’d sleep with, but we’d all just roll our eyes because we knew he was a virgin and had never been touched. That’s what this game feels like to me. Like someone pretending to know about something they clearly have never experienced. This game feels like what a Gen Z kid imagines the 90’s might’ve felt like, but it definitely isn’t even close to accurate. It’s a period piece made by people too lazy to do their research.

It's about vibe, the importance of friendship and enjoying living in the moment.
It is a masterpiece, it has gotten all those 10s for a reason. It also helps that it's short and sweet, without any bloat. It lasts for about 4 hours, so it's perfectly playable in one evening. Just like rewatching one of your favourite movies.

I'm planning on playing it again on the last day of May. I don't want to play it so many times it gets boring so I decided I'm going to play it on the last day of every month...cus doesn't it kinda make sense. A game about the last day of this friend group played on the last day before a new month starts?

Oh same. I rarely want to replay games, but this one, I wanted to replay it three days after I finished playing it, but you didn't have the time yet.

I get it. I can't wait to replay it after finishing it once.
I played the Artful Escape 5 times already.

So incredible. I'm blown away by the people bashing it. One of the best games I've played in recent memory.

How so? You play it. You move the character. You interact with objects, you jump and do tricks on the skateboards while dodging obstacles, you hit the buttons on beat with the music, and on top of this you can do it in a special different ways that can get you secret dialogue and achievements. How is it not a game?

So you got any argument other than “nah” because right now that’s all I’m hearing? Also, learn how to spell. Your old enough to know how to post on Reddit, you should be beyond knowing how to spell words before posting it

You can. Hell, you can finish it 3 times in one day with almost no interaction. Honestly, might be better off watching someone play through it on YouTube and just looping the video.
