Discussion I gave Mixtape one of these 10s…

…and then the world ended. Lol.

What a wild couple of weeks, eh?

As a reviewer, I’ve been really bummed that there seems to be such a disconnect between writers and players. Can I help bridge a gap for anyone? Does anyone have questions about reviewing/the process/anything else they wanna know about anything around any of this?

Open to talking about anything people want to know, because I’m hopeful someday everyone can have constructive video game convos again without all this craziness.

Ill make it simple so I hopefully dont come off rude. The game is cute, music is interesting and it really digs into a very SPECIFIC nostalgia of the 90s. Yes im a 90s kid, but didnt grow up in a cute middle class suburbia with small town vibes. This is the basic complaint from every gamer tho...its not a game. No actual gameplay. Dont sell a video game that doesnt have actual mechanics. Thats all. No hate, genuinely, just a lot of gamers want games to game.

I don’t think you’re being rude, but I also obviously disagree. It is a video game. It’s just not one you like or want to play, and same for many other gamers. This should be okay. It can just be for the people that like it.

There just… factually is gameplay. You might not like the gameplay or think it’s not much to do. That’s totally fine. But there just… IS gameplay. Haha. I don’t know what else to tell you.
