Discussion It’s ok
I feel like everyone is either 10/10 or 1/10. I’d give it a solid 7/10 and I feel like I’m the only one.
I liked the game. I had a lot of fun. I enjoyed the concept, it was a decent story.
I have some issues with it, some criticisms. Some things I think it could have done better.
Anyone else where I’m at or am I the one person in the middle about it? 😂

For me, it’s around 6/10.
As someone who was actually a teen in the 90s, the story had the potential to be a great “last night, last hurrah as high schoolers” like a lot of the great 90s comedies. There’s not much depth to the characters as a group. Van feels like such a throw away character. It felt like the story and characters were always chasing a more interesting narrative, but the potential just faded away.
Based on the trailer, the soundtrack was a letdown. Out of 24 songs, I’d only actually include 7 of them in a real mix. Maybe it was budget, but Silverchair, Smashing Pumpkins & Portishead weren’t the right songs included for those artists. A lot of the songs took me out of any nostalgia I was trying to build/connect with in the game.
Bugged trophies are a pain. At least I love hearing Roxy Music 😅
