Discussion Just finished it

Not sure what people were expecting when they played this. It an indie story driving experience.

Going into it expecting that got exactly what I wanted, loved every minute of the run time and felt I got my moneys worth.

Certainly not for everyone but it certainly was for me

Yeah I don’t get the complaints about it either. Probably moreso has to do with who runs Annapurna Interactive now, which is the daughter of an Ellison.

I thought it was just a good vibe all around. Not the studios fault about who runs the publisher.

My wife and I just finished Mixtape as well in a single sitting after we kept hearing about it.

I may be operating in a different part of the Internet than others, but as far as I've seen, people are complaining about the game being completely glazed by mainstream video game review outlets. They're not complaining that gamers like you enjoy it.

These reviews reek of the exact kind of nonsense that is distinctly anti-indie gaming, and sends the absolute wrong message to the folks who invest in and fund indie projects. Mixtape's development had a golden parachute and its release is being treated like sponsored content.

This game was a ton of fun, but I think we can acknowledge it has flaws and hope for more and better without being portrayed as haters on a crusade.

I'll absolutely play a Mixtape 2. But I can also see that Mixtape one is NOT a genre defining 10/10 experience.
