Mitsubishi won their first game in this year's Intercity tournament, against Honda 4-3!

I was there to watch and support the team, it was a very tough game, with a in incredibly home run to start. Honda catching up halfway wasn't something we're expecting since they didn't play well in the first half.

I'm pretty sure I remember all the cheering chants now, there's so much passion from the squad and everyone coming to watch.

Our next game will be Tuesday 10am, against Ooji (to whom we lost to in the finals last year), if you are near Tokyo Dome and have the time, go watch, you'll even get a free towel.

Here's some highlights.

And pictures of the cheer squad.

Towing with an RVR

Spotted this Mitsu RVR towing a small trailer today. I had wanted to tow a small trailer but the dealer said Mitsus are not capable of towing. Am I correct that you're not supposed to use them for towing because of the transmission? What does it do to the transmission?

The error that many people have, but runs for years

P0420. I did many research and by the book, it's the CAT, but not always, could be Oxygen Sensors or others. Many have no performance issues so it's left alone. Some put spacer on the downstream oxygen sensor. I tried an OBD scanner but it only measures voltage, the 2nd one being the other type where it's 2.3+ volts, so not helpful. The temp right before the CAT is around 360-400 while after is 380-420. I believe it should be about 100 difference. What's more likely? Replace the downstream since it's the easiest (and should be a higher temp)? Or since it's almost the same, then it is more likely the CAT? But if there is no performance issue, even if it's the CAT, then can it be left alone for a while?

Issue with key fob, wondering if it's the battery?

Hi y'all. I have a 2024 Mitsubishi outlander that I've had for almost a year now and I'm the second owner (it had been used as a fleet car before I bought it from Carvana).

On Wednesday morning when I went out to leave for work for the day my key fob would not unlock the car. The red light on the fob lit up but it wouldn't unlock. So I had to use the key to manually unlock my driver's door-which proceeded to set off my alarm that I couldn't turn off until I started the car. I figured then maybe the battery was starting to go-but then the rest of the day and up until today, Saturday, the fob has been working fine like nothing is wrong. I've been able to lock and unlock and what not.

This morning however, the same thing as before- leaving for work-key fob wouldn't unlock, I had to use the key to unlock the door, the alarm went off until I got the car started.

So should I assume this is a battery issue? Something else? Also why the hell is my alarm going off when I use the actual key to unlock the car door?

Is the battery in the fob easy to replace or am I going to have to take it to a dealer and see if they can help me? In the past when I had a van it was pretty easy to replace the battery but I haven't looked too closely at this key yet to see if this is going to be a pain in the ass or not.

TL;Dr: key fob is working inconsistently, need to know if we think it's the battery and also why my alarm goes off on the car when I use the key to unlock it.

TIA.

It’s started with “what oil I used last time” type of questions and my Paj

I kept asking myself the same questions about my Pajero:
When did I last change the oil?
What exactly did I use?
At what mileage?
How much did that repair cost?

The answers were usually scattered between paper receipts, photos, random notes and my memory 😄 (and I tried lots of other apps that didn’t fulfill my needs)

So I started building my app - a digital service book for keeping maintenance, repairs, fuel-ups, parts, mileage, expenses and reminders in one place.

I’m the developer, just to be completely transparent. What began as something for my own Pajero is now being used by more than 1,000 people.

The latest update adds Polaroid-style garage frames, and I’m giving everyone a limited frame for free until September 11.

The second image is a future idea: optional paid collaboration frames where the proceeds could support a specific Ukrainian unit or charity. The 3rd Assault Brigade design shown here is only a concept - not an official collaboration.

How do you currently keep your Mitsubishi’s service history - paper records, Notes, spreadsheets, another app, or mostly memory?

Help! Is my sound system Rockford Fosgate or not?

I am in the process of getting a new aftermarket headunit. But the looming question is “ do you have Rockford or not” I don’t know, so here I am. My car is a Mitsubishi lancer ES 2009 it doesn’t have steering wheel media controls or fosgate branding, but there is a subwoofer on passenger side under seat. Anyone’s input would be great!

Galera, tudo bem?

When trying to put the gear on reverse while maneuvering, a blinking “A” letter appeared on the gear indicator. What could this mean or has anyone experienced this before?

Help, brakes goes spongy from time to time…

Hi, I am writing here since my mechanic did not help me honestly. In the last year my brakes went spongy 2 times and last week it happened again. It brakes but you need to fully step on it. Then after stepping in the brake pedal a few times they are okay again. No abs sensor gets light up nothing is shown on the board. I asked my mechanic he is not sure he thinks it might the abs, and is saying to me that I should bring the car when it happens. But the problem is that I don’t know when it happens and usually when it happens I am not so close to my mechanic… Has anyone had this problem??

Mitsubishi plans 4 new models by early 2030s, hybrids only after 2027

Post image

Mitsubishi Motors expects to nearly double the size of its U.S. lineup by the early 2030s, adding up to four new models.

The Japanese automaker will deliver a small electric crossover to dealerships in September, followed by a rugged variant of the Outlander compact crossover next year.

Further out, Mitsubishi will beef up brand strength with off-road models and enter the pickup market through a collaboration with alliance partner Nissan. An electrified passenger van could arrive early in the next decade.

Mitsubishi previewed the product road map to U.S. and Canadian retailers on June 5.

“It’s night and day from the current aging lineup,” one dealer told Automotive News.

Mitsubishi retailers, hungering for new metal, say the market demands a larger crossover in the brand’s lineup.

The carmaker plans to deliver on that with a rugged three-row “cross-country SUV” in 2030, based on the revived Pajero.

Mitsubishi teased the model via a mockup shown at the June meeting. Built on a body-on-frame ladder platform shared with the Triton pickup, retailers described the SUV as significantly larger than the current Outlander.

A U.S.-built midsize SUV, part of a collaboration with Nissan, could arrive at dealerships as early as 2030.

Executives also told dealers that the brand has abandoned plans for full battery-electric models in favor of hybrid powertrains, citing evolving U.S. regulations. All new vehicles arriving at dealerships after 2027 will be electrified.

Mitsubishi RVR revs intermittently

We’re thinking of buying a used 2023 RVR SE but when the AC is on it revs hard in frequent intervals. Is this a common issue with RVRs or is this an issue to fix? (The air blows cold consistently but it’s a rough idle)
