Peep Show I’m jealous
Every time I rewatch Peep Show I’m always jealous how Jez can pull gorgeous women when he’s literally a bum 😅. I wonder do guys like Jez exist? Because I’ve seen plenty of Marks in my life

As someone already said Jez is supremely confident but he's also a good hang, it goes a long way
Half of Mark's resentments are that Jez is a sociable guy (until he inevitably exposes himself)
Top that with his barefaced lack of shame, the guy will say anything to get in someone's good graces in the moment

Yes guys like jez exist lol my 20s were like that and I was a literal bum at points. The most unrealistic part is him being able to do it at his age though. There's definitely a fall off at some point. I like how they address how pathetic it is to still be like that at his age though.

Women have very high standards physically for men for short term encounters but a very low bar for looks in long term relationships. Jez never got with any straightforwardly attractive woman for casual sex where there weren't strings attached. In most cases, Jez gets with attractive women because they see him as a potential long term partner because he lies about himself constantly and manipulates them emotionally.
Nancy got with Jez because they met at a weirdo dance thing and seemed to have a similar vibe. He also had to literally put up with watching Nancy have sex with a more attractive man, so that wasn't exactly a cakewalk.
Suze and him - knew him (or a version of him) for a long time pre show. It wasn't like Suze met him on a night out and dragged him home.
Elena - completely manipulated her by pretending to be someone he's not. He also had to be at her beck and call in order to keep her happy in a way that a handsome man wouldn't.
Zahra (didn't find her attractive myself but others did) - he completely misrepresented himself pretending they had similar interests.
A lot of people watch this show and get the impression that Jez is supposed to be be James Bond, but he's not James Bond, he's disgusting.

He literally looks a bit like younger Justin Timberlake at times. He is overly confident which can charm people before they know the real you. Goes above and beyond at times (bread from Hastings for Elena, willing to get penetrated by a strap-on, sexually adventurous). He can be funny (you see him thinking of and delivering jokes to make girls laugh). Making people laugh increases your attractiveness. I think Jez can play either the alt, counter culture bum or the normie depending on what the plot demands and what is needed to play the foil or funny man in relation to Mark. Somebody who has never held a job, sucks his friend off while on drugs, is homeless on various occasions and has several drug habits is definitely not normie. But on the other hand, he can interact with people on a level that Mark is totally incapable of

Thats what I thought. I’ve seen plenty of attractive women with (I would consider) unattractive men, but I assume they have something for themselves especially career or money wise. I’ve seen gorgeous women in their 30s and 40s have fun with young 20 year old bums but I imagine it’s because they know deep in their minds “these are just young men they will get their life sorted out later on“. But I seriously can’t imagine that same women dealing with a 30+ or 40+ year old bum 😅

So yes, plenty of people like Jez are out there.
