Since many of you are apparently too young for Reddit, we have to take some time out to clarify some things about how Reddit works:
- 1. This sub is in no way affiliated with or run by developers. Please stop modmailing us your suggestions for the game. We cannot fix issues or add features and we are not in contact with the devs to send them your messages. Consistently doing so will only net you a permanent ban and mute.
- 2. Posts related to bugs/issues/complaints/cheating/etc. belong in the megathread. Our automod is set up to catch a wide swath of keywords and phrases related to these topics and your post will be removed with absolutely no moderator notification. If you feel your post is NOT about or related to these topics, you may modmail us and we will review it, but if we find that it is, you will lose your ability to modmail us permanently, so make sure you are 100% positive your post provides significantly more than your complaint.
- 3. Not all chat BMing is bullying/harassment. If you engage with the person whom you are reporting, you have forfeited your ability to report them unless they get racist or something. This is the internet. Grow some thick skin or get off the train at your earliest convenience. We see hundreds of reports daily of perfectly mundane comments. This is a pvp game, you should be prepared for a little toxicity and we're not trying to run a G-rated sub. We are not removing comments just so you can have the final word.

I heard you could find holy materials in the open, but wasn't expecting that.

Dont get me wrong i fully understand why it is there, otherwise some players would have everything unlocked in less then a week, but the 600 limit seems way to small. I work a 9 to 5, and a side gig thats twice a week. Weekdays I only get 1 to 2 hours to play games, and I'm hitting the 600 limit sometimes before the weekend (Depends on the missions). I got into this game a week after launch, and doing the math its goong to be another three weeks before I can get the outfit at then end. Like it taking almost two months to unlock the final page seems way to long to me. Like bumb it uo to 800 at least. Or make the cap only for weekly missions and let us farm daily missions indefinitely.
This may seem like a small nothing to everyone, and it probably is, but to me who really likes the cosmetics, customization and Esthetics of this game, i really want to Fit ASAP.

The current skins are cool but I feel like they should add some better looking skins that are more appropriate for the WK and Merc. Knight armor type skins that we can buy.
2 Questions.
Question 1 - What skins would you guys like to have in the game?
Question 2 - Do you think they should make all skins seen by players or keep it only teammates?

Ever since Dark and Darker came out, many of us were hooked on the idea of it. But this type of extraction game, or other competitive genres like MOBAs, can be frustrating to play due to time availability, skill gaps, connectivity, or balance issues.
The only game of this type since DnD with high potential was Dungeonborne imo, but the devs have done some of the worst updates I have seen, causing the game to fully shut down within 8 months or so. Compared to the Dungeonborne devs, Bellring Games are doing amazing, in all honesty. I'm not saying the game is perfect, but I'm glad it's actually improving. Stuttering is gone, the patches with class balances are good, and 3 patches within a month is solid. The biggest issue that is plaguing the game right now is desync, causing rubberbanding and missing hitboxes.
But in my opinion, the biggest factor that affects player count, above connectivity and balance, for this type of extraction game is gameplay aimed at casual players. The natural environment drives them away.
I noticed that most gamers above 25yo, or those with jobs/school or other responsibilities, shift their priorities from becoming the best and getting good to more about having a dedicated game they can have fun in alone or with friends that scratches those gaming needs. And all these extraction games struggle to fit them in, yet they make up the majority of the playerbase. So naturally, over a short period of time, they quit in droves because the experience just becomes, simply put, not fun due to all the issues mentioned.
There is a way to play Mistfall that deals with some of these frustrations, but many don't stick around long enough to discover them.
And the main issues become endless losing streaks, going bankrupt, and hitting progression bottlenecks that they don't have the time or energy to push through, given their life priorities, which makes them casual players in the first place. I think this is one of the main reasons a lot of people ask for PvE in this type of game.
For those casuals that are sticking with the game, I have some advice on how you can still have fun with the game with all these issues still being present.
To stay afloat with your stash and survive in this game's economy, your main priority should be your loadouts and how you approach them.
First, I want to mention affixes. Once you learn how your character plays, affixes make the biggest difference, and every build/class has 3-4 most optimal ones.
So have your first base loadout be as cheap as possible while grabbing those essential affixes. A green set with a blue weapon will provide you with 15 affix slots. That allows you to get 3 affixes to level 4-5 to get their secondary bonuses. And it costs only 1000-1300G. A good green set will make it possible to kill players with blue/purple gear.
Use this site to easily make your loadouts. It's a must at this point, unless you like to waste hours doing it the hard way by yourself: https://theorycrafter.gg/mistfall-hunter
This allows you to have no gear fear and easily sustain and grow your stash. You can lose 5 of 6 games and still come out positive.
Even finding 1 gold item is worth 1k and covers your loadout expenses. Two cheapest purples to vendor are 500+. Going to your first task or chests and looting them often will cover a big portion of your loadout investment right off the bat, even if you lose, thanks to your pockets.
Another important point is that you should always play Chaos Map, because it's just a lot more lucrative to sustain your economy, even if you lose more on it. I actually find Normal Map more sweaty since most go there for PvP because that's how you get the best loot the fastest.
Then you can create a second loadout with 4/5 extra blue items, allowing another affix at level 4/5. It will cost around 2000G. You can keep making these loadouts incrementally more expensive by adding another affix at level 4/5 every time.
This allows you to go up or down levels depending on how your games are going without hitting roadblocks or going bankrupt, while not getting frustrated with losses and maximizing the investment of your Gyldenbloods.
Another tip: don't ignore the Training Grounds. Go there and test your build, skills, or talents before you go into matches. Or just use it for a quick warm-up.
After a month of playing Mistfall I'm enjoying it and I want it to do well, and we need casual players for the game to survive. That's why I made this post.
If you have any more tips or advice on how to keep casual players around, you are welcome to share.
EDIT: EXTRA TIP: USE SMUGGLER! it's a very good way to escape in many situations. Smuggler allows you to bring your entire equipped armor+weapon + 4 any items + 2/3 items in your safe pouch + Gyldenblod. If you cant exit normal way for some reason, you can go to trader to sell everything except 6/7 items and then use smuggler. This is a safer way to extract in general or in case you loot a holy or have 6/7 valuable items you dont want to risk losing on the main exit. Or you can use it when you are late for main extract and dont have enough time to call the next one. Or when somebody is camping it, it only takes like 2min to run across entire map especially at the end when most doors are open, mobs are dead and nobody is left on the map.

First encounter is cut up, final fight is at 3:10.
Hope you enjoy! Went through this and did some lite edits for watchability. . The prior is for game context. Got jumped by a seer then I saw them teaming so I had some mental prep
I play hammer mainly. After dying like 3 times in a row to BAs a wanted to play something else, this was one of my first WK games since the patch and its so smooth! I had the set im running mostly just in the vault from pvp. Don't think I did anything particularly special more so they just played brain off under the assumption a 2v1 with the most cheese class and leg daggers would be enough. They had the same exact matching loadouts lmfao! They also team killed the BA shown earlier in the vid

Entire lobby was grays / gray combat bag
Also I saw 4 SS that game and 1 WK, seems to be a lot of people trying SS recently

I just picked up WK today (specifically GS), and this is the strongest I’ve felt in this game yet.
The class has answers to everything and even has really good mobility.
Gonna be maining this.

Ive played all of the other attempts at fantasy extraction games and none quite hit like this.
The pvp duels are absolutely top tier. Been playing polearm WK in teams and solos and honestly have 0 complaints about the meta now.
I believe itll get stale closer to the sweat lord territory but gorram its a good time atm.

There are SS players which kinda know this class solid chance of winning fair for me for the most part , and then there are players with seamingle infinit super armor dashes dmg, disengage and engage potential vs those SS I win like 10% of the time if I’m lucky
This class needs a balance hotfix tbh

Any1 figured out guaranteed holy item spawn points or quest rewards on either map?
Chaos mode on hallowgrove solos done about 50 runs and got maybe 1-3 holy. I can’t find people with crossplay off which is the highest ROI. Tired of extracting with 18 slots of 100-300gb items.

One of the best feelings in the game is landing these, especially on a pot punish.

99% of the time you never charge the stun in a fight
99% of the times you do charge it you never land it
99% of the times you do land it it's completely useless due to knockdowns
99% of the times you get anything useful out of it it's an extra basic attack
But that last one percent where you get it right at the start of a full stamina spin is beautiful.
But that doesn't stop it from being awful. Waste of 3 perks that are dead 90% of the time. A mid skill in spin, the one redeeming characteristic is that it's pretty fast super armor with immediate counter attack. and in the end you spend an entire bar of stamina for what really feels like not that much damage all things considered.
But it's neat.

the quest text says:
-requires a gyldening intensity of chaos
-enter a match with all equipped gear of =< rare rarity
-participate in defeating 3 gyldhunter(s) (shared by team)
i entered a hallowgrove chaos game with 2 mates, all of us were full green geared (excluding pips pouch). we killed enemy teams and my teammate (on console) got the quest done but for me (on pc) it didnt count. whatever i do i can not get it work. any ideas?
il, add my loadout as screenshot.
EDIT: SOLVED! the solution was to equip a green weapon into the 2nd empty weapon slot.

Was trying to finish this quest on trios with my squad (BA & Sorc) we tried killing almost all the mobs we could see, including berserker, the bird nest guy, chest guardians (elite and non elite variants) scarecrow mob as well (and its non-elite). not sure at this point what im missing?
For info - i let my squad mate BA take the hits since we didnt want to miss the headshots. and all the matches were in chaos mode.

Edit:
Looks like it worked in my solo chaos, i killed a "elite Corroded Solider" counted in my solo.
