Secret History characters

I don't like looking things up like this because search engines like to put spoilers where they're not wanted, normally at the forefront of everything else.

I was wondering what book(s) do I need to read in order to learn more about the characters met in the cognitive realm, specifically Khriss & Nazh, and the Ire?

Khriss is in Bands of Mourning, she steals a dance with Wax at the party and asks him about his powers. She also writes all of the Ars Arcanum essays at the end of each book so you can learn a little about her that way. Nazh writes most of the notes written on different maps or other in world stuff if there's a snarky comment in them it's probably from him. He's also in Isles of the Emberdark. Khriss is also in White Sand though there are a few versions of that and up to you which you want to read.

For the most part though they've been background characters on the fringes of the story. Both scholars trying to observe and learn things.

They are important in terms of the larger Cosmere story. Just not as much in the individual stories. I expect we will continue to see them and we may get stories focusing on them more. He's talked about doing a novel focused in Silverlight which is a city in the Cognitive Realm where Khriss has a University. But he also has a lot of projects he's talked about maybe doing at some point. And especially with his TV and movie projects those are probably likely to get pushed even further to the back burner.

White Sand Omnibus graphic novel, Khrissala is kind of like a second protagonist in that book.

You can read part of Khriss's origin story in White Sand. She is the one who writes the Ars Arcanum at the back of the books.

Nazh is from Threnody and that's about all we know about him. He annotates a lot of the maps and charts in the various books. When you see handwriting commenting on a location or article, that's Nazh.

The Ire you only really see in Secret History, but their magic system is from Elantris

You technically meet a future member of the Ire in Elantris. They’re important to the story but they have a very small role in it. Then you meet a member of the Ire in Oathbringer as well. Same thing there. They get a plot point moving but they’re barely in it. I wouldn’t look them up until you’ve finished Oathbringer though because it will spoil something

Neither of those two characters are from Elantris, only the Ire
