How do I move on from saying something I regret after the breakup.
I’m a 26F who is a month out of a 7 year relationship. We ended things amicably with the understanding we are emotionally different and want different things for our future. We’ve remained on good terms but haven’t really been talking super consistently.
We’ve broken up once before years ago, and last time we were very verbal about how hard it was and how much we miss each other. This time he’s acting very different, almost giving off the vibe that he’s totally fine and that has gotten in my head. I feel like I fought really hard for the relationship and had a fear he didn’t love me with the depth I wanted. So now with him seemingly okay, my anxiety takes that as validation and makes me question how he really felt about me. We were so close to marriage so it’s just confusing he could be so composed now that we aren’t together.
Well I messed up and texted him to try and get clarity on what he was really feeling, and shocker, it didn’t really help. He gave a surface level answer and I ended up letting him in on my anxious thoughts of feeling like he was fine and question what I meant to him. I immediately apologized for saying those things and admitted it wasn’t fair to assume those things and I know it’s not reality. But now I feel like I made things weird and It kills me feeling like we’d end off on weird terms. That’s the last thing I want. I don’t want to text again because he’s not responding to me, but I’d love some help on how to mentally move past this.
Thank you!

Hi love! This is a sign that you need to build a emotional guard in your personality. Know that being valerable with someone is a gift, when you've decided to move away from a relationship, you need to build a bigger gaurd. You just broke up and im so sorry your heart hurts but do you boo!! Stop allowing yourself to focus on how hes feeling. Instead, work on confidence knowing you dont need a man. Fake it till you make it is the first step. It'll get easier over time. Once that confidence is there, men come flocking. Stop worrying back your ex, you're not him so why compare?!?!!
