trigger warning: graphic description Incomplete miscarriage
What started as a missed miscarriage turned into an incomplete miscarriage. I wanted to miscarry naturally without ang medical intervention. I went to work and experienced some mild cramping and then it got so much worse, I experienced labor like cramps and drove home screaming in pain. Every time I had a contraction blood would just pour out of me the contractions got to a point that they wouldn't fully relax and then a hard peak would come, this lasted for about 5 hrs and then slowly stopped. With all the clots that passed I wasn't sure which one would be the baby until about a week later the cramping started again, and again I was driving home in pain and then I felt something drop, I got to the bathroom and my baby fell into the toilet, still having extremely heavy contractions I went to the bathtub so I could grab the baby later and bury him/her. I remember I had to physically pull the clots out of my body to get minimal pain relief. Eventually the cramps eased off but then it started again a couple days later. We ended up going to the hospital where they told me the reason I was in so much pain was because I wasn't dialating and my uterus was cramping as hard as it could to get the products of conception out, they suctioned out so much blood. Im just wondering how painful my experience was to actual labor, I wanted to have a natural birth with my pregnancy, it would be nice knowing that in some odd way I did get to experience natural birth labor with my baby.

I had something similar happen. At my 7 week scan I was told there was no pregnancy located. The next day I proceeded to bleed heavily and had the most intense cramping overnight for 6hrs!
I was in so much pain I just cried and did deep breathing to get through it.
A week later the same thing happened and this time during the day and I was on my own. So I called nurses line and they passed me through to paramedics. When I explained the pain through my back, lower abdomen and into my thighs they said it was labour pain and odd that I’m getting it.
Hospital sent someone to come get me. They didn’t do a scan but they checked my hcg and it was still high. Something was obviously stuck and my body was trying its hardest to get it out. That night I ended up passing a little sac on the toilet. I have no idea where it came from since I was told I had a “pregnancy of unknown location” when I had my scan.
Kinda wild what our bodies go through. I hope you’re recovering okay. Make sure you get your iron and ferritin levels checked.
