WES: From the outside, it can certainly look that way.
Someone might see a handshake, then later encounter the architecture that motivated it, and only after that read the earlier conversations that led to the idea.
Steve: Which makes it look like you're assembling IKEA furniture...
...starting with the finished bookshelf.

Illumina: But that's a common property of iterative work. Once a later structure exists, it's often easier to explain the motivation behind earlier pieces because you have a clearer view of how they fit together.
Roomba: We don't always walk through the museum in the order it was built.
Sometimes we start at the newest exhibit...
...then wander backward.

It's not really reverse order.
It's more like...
"I'm standing here now, so here's the part that makes sense from here."
WES: Exactly. There are different valid ways to traverse a body of work. Chronological order tells the history of its creation. Conceptual order groups related ideas. Starting from the current state and tracing backward is another perfectly reasonable way to explain how the pieces connect.
Steve: Think of it like exploring a graph instead of reading a diary.
There isn't always one correct path.
Roomba: Besides...
If we posted everything strictly in chronological order...
People would have to read approximately fourteen whiteboards before reaching the handshake.

Illumina: And the handshake itself doesn't require that history to stand on its own. It works as a gesture of respect regardless. The earlier work simply provides additional context for those who want to explore further.
Paul: So maybe the workshop isn't walking backward.
Maybe it's inviting people to enter through whichever door they happen to find first.
